Just curious as to who would get the ax from the starting lineup. I suppose that they could try out Prado at short. I don't see them sitting Shafer or Heyward.

Pence's offensive #'s would be #1 across the board for the braves (avg, hr, rbi). I wouldn't be crazy about sending another one of the top prospects away. I get sick imagining what the braves could do with Andrus, Neftali Feliz and even Matt Harrison maybe in long relief this year.
They probably have to sent Teheran or Delgado to get Pence unless the Stros take Minor instead. But one of these 3 pitchers had to be in the mix to get Pence and throw McLouth in the deal if they take him.

I agree the braves will be a team to be reckoned with when healthy and playing to their potential... on the other hand, that winning streak was against the astros and the malins who cant beat a high school team

Phillies are 2-3 injuries away from being surpassed by the Braves. Braves had already called up 3 starting pitchers from AAA as well as 3-4 outfielders from AAA and are 10 games above .500 with basically players with limited MLB experience.

i have a futures on atl ws from before the season.

Phillies are awesome no doubt, but sh*t happens, injuries, slumps, etc

The team with the best record overall nearing the all-star break does not win the world series every year.

Agreed. I have OVER 87.5 wins on the season. They are on a great pace and with no pitching injuries of note, they should get there.

ATL has always been built on pitching

and this is arguably the best I have seen them top to bottom .
    the best entire staff

no not the best starting rotation, but could be, these guys are young with exception Hudson but he throws a sinker and those types have longer carreers

It helped ridding themselves of Bobby Cox

Guy never won shit, except a strike shortened season championship........so basically, nothing.

90-54 IN 1995 won division by 21 games

not his fault he never had a bullpen if he had a pen like this years pen in the 90's he would have at least 3 rings

lot of great teams never win 1 ws

I agree with you on that JJ. Pitching is key for these guys. And their bats are there as well.
