    The Atlanta Braves???

This team has not hit a lick and can't score runs (except tonight), they are getting no production from Uggla, they have been riddled with injuries (Heyward, Chipper, McLouth, Hudson, Moylan, and now Prado), and yet they have the 4th best record in the Majors... not the NL but the entire MLB.

If they can get rid of this injury bug, I think they are the team to beat. Unhittable bullpen and the best rotation in the NL and probably MLB.

I just wanted to get some thoughts on this. It baffled me when I looked at the standings tonight.

They need Uggla to start hitting, Heyward to get healthy, and a trade to acquire a CF.

they just need hudson to pitch vs the astros and then play the astros in a 98 game series the rest of the year. at that point they will be in a good position to make a run at the post season.

Well if you love them so much then put money down on them to win the NL. They won't even win the East but who knows when they get to the playoffs.

And if you look at injuries, it's not like the Phillies haven't been hit with injuries all year too and they have the best record.

I wont disagree that they are not dangerous... but to say they have the best starting rotation in baseball after two and a half months is absolutely absurd.

You guys are missing the point. The Braves and Phillies rotations are both great, and when you look at the stats its 6 one way and half-a-dozen the other. I know every team has had injuries, especially the Phillies. My point was that the Braves have looked like shit and still have a pretty good record.

Well so far, there have been 2 threads started by braves fans regarding the braves being great and the phills being overrated.. I dont see any phills fans starting pointless threads like that. Phills fans are smart enough to know that the playoffs are what matters. Braves fans can waste their time talking in the mean time, when they still are sitting behind the phills in the standings. So who is it again that takes the cake?

LOL check out all the haters. Once j hey and uggla get back to form, the Atlanta Braves will have the most dangerous hitting lineup in the MLB. Philles have a pathetic offense compared to the bravos. Braves do have the best starting pitching staff in baseball. Stats do not lie guys.

guess we forgot about the red sox huh? and why is the phills offense ranked ahead of the braves when they have been affected by injuries more then the braves? and stats dont lie you are correct... yet you cant really define pitchers on two months of play.. lets look at the past 3 years and compare the phills and braves pitching staff.. your right, stats dont lie

Injuries? Only injury I know of has been utley. And he wont ever be what he used to be. I don't care about the past 3 years. If you want to look look at history, lets compare the 2 teams the past 20 years shall we? We're talking about this year only and the braves are the team to beat. We are doing all the damage without a healthy lineup. BTW when was the last time you heard of an 8th inning relief pitcher getting considerations for a CY young? ? Venters! Enough said.

Yes, berkman is having a better season than pujols and is better thus far. Although I do not believe berkman will have better stats when the season is done.
