Who is a Hall of Famer playing right now?

With all the talk about Pujols being Hall of Fame worthy, which I am sure he will be when his time comes, I ask this question. Who playing today is a lock for the Hall of Fame and who else will eventually get in?

A-Rod, Bonds, Randy Johnson, Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux. Some more, but I'll post them later.

What's the point of the HOF without Rose and Bonds.

Not to mention, the players in single A ball are all heads and shoulders above all of those guys that played in the 30's and 40's anyway. And most of the Single A players will never get a hit in todays game.

Or you could be like Jackie Robinson and get in just cause your black.

The hall of Fame is a joke in every sport, but more so baseball than any other.

players who are still playing who I think if they hung up the cleats today would make it...

Maddux, Glavine, Randy Johnson, Mariano Rivera, Trevor Hoffman, Ken Griffey Jr., Mike Piazza, Ivan Rodriguez, Omar Vizquel(maybe), Frank Thomas(maybe), Roger Clemens(since he'll probably play later this year), possibly Kenny Lofton later on

presley, it's funny you mention Frank Thomas.

this guy is a 2-time mvp, and alot of people still don't feel he's a HOF'er yet.

    Ken Griffey Jr.

Also agree with most the players named here.

Think Bagwell will be a HOF'er? Thoughts Willie?

Not sure. Right now I'd bet NO. Do I think he's a Hall of Famer? No doubt. He was one of the top 2-3 first baseman for a good 10-12 year stretch. But I don't think the hypocrites that are the BBWAA will think he's worthy of Cooperstown.

Well it seems that just about everyone has thrown him into the big DH boat(which is true..although he had about 10 great years including those 2 mvp seasons playing 1st base)

    Frank Thomas..2 time mvp..possibly could've been 4 time MVP.

He should've won another MVP in 94 had the season not been cut short- He had 38 homeruns, 101 rbis, .353 average and 109 walks in 113 games.

He also should've won in 2001 with his 43 homeruns and 143 rbis but finished 2nd to the juicer Giambi(who has now admitted to have taken steroids during that season)

So in my mind he's about a 4 time mvp player. He dominated his era(the 90's) imo...he's won batting titles, homerun derbys(not like it matters) and one of the most important things...he finally *won* a world series ring. Granted he didn't have one single at-bat...he hit his share of homeruns to help win some games..and he got his ring..his name is on the back of the shirt...and just getting a ring I think matters huge to many sportswriters.

    .305 career hitter..about 10 years of hitting 25 homeruns,
.300+ average, 100+ runs, 100+ walks, 100+rbis, 30+ doubles....and a **.425** career OBP. the numbers are crazy. He's sitting at 455 homeruns now though...I think he needs the 500...but once he gets that..he should be in.
