Ubaldo was arguably the most dominant pitcher in baseball. He was 5-0 and basically hadn't been touched. Today, he fell to 0-2 by giving up 4 runs and 6 hits at home vs. the Pirates, with 4 walks and 3 wild pitches in just 4 IP. WTF happened to this guy? He's either tipping pitches, hurt, or both. Why doesn't Colorado step in and take care of their "ace"?
Perhaps last year was a career year. Perhaps he is more of a .500 pitcher with 4.00 ERA like the earlier part of his career rather than the 19-8, 2.88 ERA of last year. Always a possibility until he proves himself for consecutive years.
He was on enhancing drugs last year?
He is still INJ. They should shelve him for the year. It will only get worse.
