there is almost always value betting against halladay. if he has say 33 starts and wins 20 he will lose some where around 8 to 10. that leaves another 4 or 5 starts where you are betting on -200 on the bullpen. lets say the bullpen goes 2-2 making it for every halladay start 22-12 so if he averages -200 on every start you will lose money.

They think they can just look past average teams and still beat them cuz' they are the Phillies. This team lacks fire far too many times.

Halliday is nothing great anymore anyways. His best years are behind him. Give this guy a cane and fade away.

What are you talking about? In his last game he went the full nine, gave up six hits, two runs, and struck out nine. On top of that, through the first eight he had only given up two hits and no runs. Halladay still has it, but tonight's game is an indication of what could be a problem for the Phils all season. They could have a fantastic rotation, but they might have problems scoring a lot of runs. If they're going to win 95 games this season I think they're going to have to win a lot of them 3-2, 3-1, etc. I'm probably wrong, but I don't see them scoring 5+ runs on a regular basis. They're making Randy Wolf look like a Cy Young winner, though.

Well tonight old Roy has gotten 7 earned runs to add to his resume, and looked poor out there all night. He is getting too old to stay out there for high pitch counts. His arm will be toast by his next start.
