    Torre in, Yankees out

How sweet it must be for Joe Torre. The Yankees basically can him after 13 straight post-season appearances. Now New York will be outside looking while Torre and the Dodgers (Magic number of three) will likely win the West.

I wonder how the Yankee nation feels now? Joe Girardi?

The Dodgers were headed for a sub .500 season before Manny arrived. Not a bad deal for the Dodgers as Boston is paying his salary.

Yankee Nation, as I am a member, is incredibly happy for Torre ... he led the last baseball dynasty we'll see for a long time. The Yankees made him what he is today and, conversely, he was the perfect man to lead them during his tenure.

(having said that, I think any team in baseball would pay good money to compete in the NL West)

As A yankee fan I'm happy for Joe...I really wanted him to stay in NY cause I knew that this would happen exactly how it did..But I'm glad..hopefully they'll even go all the way an rub it in Steinbrenners face.
