I have a thread in Players Talk, but I'd like to have a seperate thread just mainly for MLB. I've been working diligently on a MLB database that contains information from the previous 10 seasons.
This includes:
ATS statistics
O/U
Home vs Away
How a team performs on x days of rest
Individual teams vs each other
How well teams play in certain weather conditions
Line movement results
The last one is tough to describe but I'll try. Ex: Boston opens up as a -125 favourite on Pinnacle. They're up against the Seattle Mariners and everyone pounded the Mariners and by gametime the Redsox closed at +105. How well do they do in that spot? Did games go over or under more when there was late steam on an over or an under.
Position vs Position. ie: Batters vs Pitchers
Team stats: HR's, RBIs, AB, R, H, TB, BB, SO, SB, CS, OPB, SLG, AVG.
Fielding/Pitching Stats
Umpires stats/trends
Coaching stats/trends
The database is still in progress, but I have enough information that I use with a system that has yet to be named to be successful during the entire season.
Any information you'd like to share with myself would be appreciated. Can't wait until the regular season starts so the starting line-ups for each team is updated.
Also, just a heads up for terms I may use in this thread.
X = unit.
DD = Double Down
I'll be tracking my record and units as often as time permits. Any questions or anything you can post here or PM me. Here's to a good season
