StridePoker (SBR rating D) was added to the SBR Sportsbook Ratings guide at F on August 7th. Since being initiated, SBR has spoken to StridePoker about their relationship with software provider FutureBet. StridePoker has stated that players funds are handled in-house and that they pay a fee to use the FutureBet software. SBR has upgraded StridePoker to D to reflect a lesser risk to player funds.
Sportsbooks and online casinos under the FutureBet umbrella have had a checkered past, with many brands going off-line and stiffing all players. In most cases, FutureBet was the prime controller of player funds; providing a full turnkey solution to sportsbook operators. FutureBet twice renamed itself in an effort to distance itself from the history of the theft, first as iGaming Software in 2008, later as Gametech Solutions in 2010.
