US Election Odds Swing Back in Clinton's Favor
Hillary Clinton has steamed back up to a -585 favorite against Donald Trump in Tuesday's 2016 Presidential Election.
Clinton had dropped as low as -265 at a handful of online sportsbooks following the surprise announcement two weeks ago by FBI Director James Comey that new emails were being investigated from a device used by Clinton's top aide Huma Abedin and disgraced former congressman Anthony Weiner.
The betting market however steadily swung back into Clinton's favor as did the RealClearPolitics polling average in the previous week. Sunday afternoon FBI Director Comey announced that his Clinton probe was over and that all 650,000 emails were received by FBI staff around the clock since his initial letter to congress.
A $5,850 wager is required to win $1,000 on Clinton, while a $1,000 wager on Donald J. Trump returns $4,710 in profit. Online sports bettors can shop for the most competitive election betting odds using Sportsbook Review.
