TonyBet stands by changing player's bonus terms mid-rollover
TonyBet Sportsbook has confirmed the player's timeline from the bonus dispute reported on yesterday.
In that complaint, a player detailed that while he was nearly finished with a 150 bet rollover requirement (after having his limits slashed to €7), TonyBet increased his remaining rollover such that he'd have to place another 43 bets ... all within the 60-day bonus expiration date.
Sportsbook Review argued that changing the bonus terms and adding to the rollover was unfair, and is not common practice in the industry. Once an offer is promoted and accepted, the general terms are valid through the fulfillment of the promotion.
The player was in full compliance with the original bonus terms, and decided to soldier on with the large rollover after having his limits drastically cut to avoid a headache or potentially losing his balance if the sportsbook decided to bar him.
It is much like purchasing an item from a store and then being denied in the parking lot by security when corporate raises the price of the TV you've already spent your money on.
The complaint remains outstanding.
