Sportsbook News Report: Industry News Show 11/13
Sportsbook Review's Natalie Rydstrom delivers this week's SBR Industry News update.
The headline of today's show is online sportsbook TonyBet's removal from the worst sportsbook blacklist.
Estonia based sportsbook TonyBet had their rating adjusted from D- to D after working through a batch of outstanding complaints with SBR analysts.
TonyBet's rating is subject to revert back to D- should the betting site unfairly handle player disputes or confiscate winnings without showing sufficient evidence.
Sports betting sites must consider fair practice when actioning player complaints, and demonstrate a willingness to reasonably enforce rules.
Where a Line Must Be Drawn
For example, an online sportsbook cannot say that all players who were born on Friday the 13th may have their accounts closed at the discretion of the sportsbook. Ridiculous rules do not hold up in the court of law, and the same precedent holds true in the online sportsbooks universe.
Sportsbook Review asks TonyBet players with feedback to write to firstname.lastname@example.org. Players with complaints can submit a sportsbook dispute form. TonyBet has agreed to continue to discuss sportsbook complaints with SBR moving forward.
Also covered in the news report is today's college basketball betting digest for day one NCAAB. Sportsbook Review will continue to provide market insight and help readers navigate through the network to find sport specific content and betting resources.
