Sportsbook.com player unsettled by new policy
Sportsbook.com (SBR rating D+) has enforced a new policy that on the surface appears standard but in reality causes players to wait an inordinate amount of time to be paid. The Costa Rica based sportsbook is limiting players to a maximum of one pending payout requests at a given time. SBR first reported on the policy change two weeks ago.
An unhappy player with a balance over $85,000 has spoken out against the new policy.
To understand why the policy is unsettling players one must consider the excessive time-frame that Sportsbook.com enforces for payment deliveries. Players face six to eight week payment windows even in the heart of football season when the recognizable brand should be writing the most tickets of the year.
Sportsbook.com only serves the US market.
On September 28th 2011, Sportsbook Review reported that Sportsbook.com moved their non-US customer base to Global.Sportsbook.com, which was later rebranded as Uwin, under the Win United Ltd. group which is best known for powering YouWin Sportsbook (SBR rating C).
