Smarkets player has balance frozen and asks SBR for help
An Smarkets player has filed a sportsbook complaint.
The player has claimed that after having his documents approved as normal from the betting exchange, his account was blocked following his placing a payout request.
After more than a week of having his funds in limbo, the betting exchange has reportedly not responded to the player's queries concerning the status of his balance, prompting the player to seek assistance from SBR.
Smarkets player: "Hello, please help me return my money.6/23/16 at 12:04 PM I'm registered at smarkets.com after this I get email - [Smarkets: ********] Identification approved -"This email is to let you know that your Smarkets account has now been fully approved, meaning that any future account transactions will be processed without delay." I made deposit and a sports bets. After my bets are win and I requested a payout, they blocked my account! It took more than a week, they ignored my emails! Please help me!"
Despite advising the player after verifying his ID documents that transactions moving forward would encouter no delay, the player remains at a virtual standstill regarding his balance.
Sportsbook Review is investigating the complaint against Smarkets.
