SBG Global Bonus Dispute: Player has Limits Slashed
An SBG Global (SBR rating D-) bonus complaint has been filed.
A player recently deposited $5,000 with SBG Global and received a $500 sports bonus.
The bonus promotion was accompanied by a 5X deposit+bonus rollover, meaning that the player would have to play through $27,500 before asking for a withdrawal.
However, shortly after making a few wagers, SBG Global drastically slashed the player's wagering limits. He is only able to place $100 bets on certain markets that he deposited with the intention of wagering, such as college football halves and second half totals.
The player requested that SBG Global restore reasonable wagering limits so that he could continue on with completing his play-through requirement. The representative the player spoke with via live chat denied this request. The player forwarded a copy of the live chat exchange to SBR when he filed his bonus complaint.
In cases such as these, online sportsbooks are expected to do one of two things: Restore reasonable wagering limits, or cut the player loose and if the situation calls for it prorate the portion of the bonus earned up to that point. Holding a player's balance hostage and enforcing rollover at paltry limits when it is clear that neither the player nor sportsbook are right for one another is bad business, and a violation of the industry standard.
Sportsbook Review has followed up with the Costa Rica based sportsbook to discuss the complaint, and will keep readers posted through the newswire on any developments.
SBG Global bettors in need of assistance are asked to submit a sportsbook complaint form.
