Online sportsbooks adjust Patriots Super Bowl odds after suspension
The NFL Prop Bets and Futures directory has been updated with four new wagering markets.
With the NFL regular season fast approaching, this is the time many seasoned sports bettors look to identify exotic betting value and lock in wagers that are considered +EV (positive expected value) ahead of the 2015-16 NFL regular season.
The Seattle Seahawks are priced at an average of +450 to win Super Bowl 50. In terms of wagering, that means a $100 bet would pay $450 in profit.
The New England Patriots were originally priced at an average of +750, but after news of Tom Brady's four game suspension broke, online sportsbooks adjusted the Patriots odds to as high as +1000. Sports handicappers who believe Brady's suspension will be reduced or overturned might find this to be a generous payoff.
The Green Bay Packers are the second shortest priced team to win Super Bowl 50, with the best odds around +740, so a $100 wager returns $740 in profit.
