Olympian Group statement on sportsbook reopening
An Olympian Group manager has told SBR that sportsbook access is expected to be made available within 48 hours. SBR previously reported that the sportsbooks within the family — Bulldog777, Geobet, and GR88 — temporarily restricted player access pending an internal audit sparked by alleged system fraud.
No hard details were given beyond what was disclosed in the public statement released by Olympian Group CEO Peter Karroll. It was alleged that a handful of accounts were affected by or responsible in some way for balance manipulation, prompting the swift closure of the sportsbook whilst the audit took place.
Players have grown impatient and frustrated by the lack of specific updates from Olympian Group management and the recycled canned responses offered by customer service.
The Olympian manager who provided SBR with the time-line also agreed to address player disputes through SBR. SBR has currently received a handful of disputes from the frustrated users, as well as seen one forum complaint from a Geobet (SBR rating D+) casino player who indicated he had difficulty withdrawing his funds. A different company representative has since asked the user to submit his details in a complaint form; management alleges that casino players are free to play and request payment as normal.
SBR advises Bulldog777, Geobet, or GR88 players with sportsbook complaints to wait for the 48-hour window to pass and then submit a sportsbook complaint if there are still issues.
