NFL Teasers Off the Board at Caesar's Sportsbook
Sportsbook Review reported Monday that it was a bloody Sunday for online sportsbooks with NFL teasers.
Every combination of a point spread teaser won, along with three of four games cashing both ways on the total.
In response to the epic paddling, Vegas casino Caesar's has decided to take all teasers off the board this AFC and NFC Championship weekend, according to a tweet by Todd Fuhrman earlier today.
Caesar's had a relatively low limit for teasers among Vegas sportsbooks anyway at $500, but sports bettors argue that the decision is akin to suspending Blackjack tables because a player won 10 hands in a row.
The betting odds this Sunday are also not exactly textbook tease material, since both numbers already are sitting on the 3, falling outside of the Stanford Wong range advocated in the book "Sharp Sports Betting".
The Wong teasers as they are known helped many sports bettors pad their bankroll over the years; online sportsbooks are no longer brave enough to offer +100 or better on two-team, six point teaser wagers.
However, online sportsbooks are not balking and are continuing to spread teaser odds for this weekend's NFL slate as normal. Business as usual, as the saying goes.
Sports bettors can shop for a list of the best football teaser odds using the SBR directory. Only top online betting sites have their teaser odds listed.
