InstantActionSports credits former 24SportsWeb player

InstantActionSports news

InstantActionSports (SBR rating C) has agreed to credit all players with unpaid balances who funded their 24SportsWeb (SBR rating F) accounts via eWallet. IAS formerly provided hosting and software to 24SportsWeb, before the sportsbook went off-line in January 2013. In addition to stiffing their few players, 24SportsWeb also had $40,000 in upaid hosting fees at the time of their collapse.

Sportsbook Review.com followed up with IAS management after 24SportsWeb going offline and was told that the extent of their business relationship with the fallen sportsbook was to provide hosting and software. However, SBR uncovered that the Skrill (Moneybookers) account used by 24SportsWeb was in fact registered to IAS.

SBR reported on February 5th that IAS had been evasive on the subject. Following that report, SBR managed to get in contact with the operations manager of IAS to further discuss the situation. IAS explained that they do not typically provide any processing for third-parties renting their software, and that they did not realize the implications of allowing the sportsbook to share their Skrill merchant account.

IAS ultimately did the right thing and agreed that players who deposited by eWallet to their common merchant account (as opposed to by cash directly to 24SportsWeb) should receive a credit of their unpaid balances. IAS has credited one player so far with $8,800. The funds carry no rollover and can be immediately withdrawn.

A second player owed $5,000 has yet to provide an IAS account for his credit.

IAS has received a sportsbook ratings upgrade to C.
