ESports Betting: List of Sportsbooks that offer eSports
A list of sportsbooks accepting eSports has been added to the sportsbook rating guide.
What was once a small niche tournament has exploded in popularity and sportsbooks have taken notice.
Just like with bitcoin, online sportsbooks are catering to the demands of their players and competing with one another to satisfy the itch of the betting public.
There are presently eight online sportsbooks offering eSports wagering full-time.
Update 5/1/2016: 5Dimes has discontinued eSports wagering.
The latest company to add eSports is 5Dimes Sportsbook. 5Dimes management informed SBR that the wagering limit for eSports is $500 for moneyline bets and $250 for prop wagers. However, players are able to wager the maximum limit unlimited times with the sportsbook.
eSports betting limits are much lower than major sports markets across the board, but as the sport grows in popularity and the market becomes more available bookmaker wagering limits will become higher.
eSports Betting here to stay
This is no offshore gimmick, either. Publicly traded company Bet365 - which is listed on the London Stock Exchange - also offers eSports betting, as does sportsbook Pinnacle Sports and 888Sport. Exclusive bitcoin sportsbook Nitrogen Sports also offers eSports betting.
Sportsbook Review expects a third of the online sportsbooks listed in the sportsbook rating guide to offer eSports by the end of next year.
Players who have identified new sportsbooks to add eSports or who have feedback on the aspects of eSports betting options they would like to see reviewed can write to SBR or share a post in the Sportsbook & Industry forum.
