Canbet blames tech issues for backlog of payouts
Canbet Sportsbook (SBR rating C-) is reportedly telling players that technical difficulties have resulted in a backlog of payouts. More than ten players have filed complaints with SBR indicating that payout requests dating back to September 24 have not been completed. SBR has followed up with Canbet Sportsbook for comment.
Update: One Canbet player has reported receiving €4800.
Canbet Sportsbook provided the following email statement to a player who had grown tired of waiting for his £760 payout requested more than three weeks ago:
"As per previous correspondence we have experienced an internal tech issue which has affected our payment systems. Due to this, there is a back log of withdrawals that our finance team are currently working through. Due to the back log, I do not have a guaranteed date for your payment, as soon as I have a confirmed date for your payment of £760.00 I will let you know."
Players should be advised that Canbet is not currently releasing payouts and steer clear of depositing with the online sportsbook until their issues are resolved.
SBR reported in December 2012 that Canbet was acquired by the Interactive Gaming & Sports Group (IASGroup). The company was previously acquired by Yin Khing Investments Ltd in May 2009.
