Betway Sportsbook player has €950 confiscated in bonus dispute
A Betway Sportsbook (SBR rating C+) complaint has been launched.
A player has claimed that he first tried to withdraw from Betway over a month ago but the payout request was blocked as he had not met his bonus rollover requirement. He then proceeded to meet the wagering requirements, and again asked for a withdrawal, this time for £1100. At this point, he was told that the terms and conditions stated he was only allowed to withdraw up to 6-times his initial deposit.
The player has claimed that £950 in winnings were confiscated from his account.
Sportsbook Review has asked him to confirm the amount of his initial deposit and what funds have been received to date. SBR will speak with Betway management on the case.
Betway is also in the process of investigating a cold case dispute involving a confiscation made in 2012. In that complaint, a player had €1300 taken from his account because he wagered in excess of 30% of his initial deposit after accepting a sportsbook bonus. Betway had agreed to revisit all old bonus complaints involving the since discontinued 30% rule.
Betway players are invited to share their feedback. Players in need of assistance should submit a sportsbook complaint.
