BetWay Sportsbook player comes forward with cold case
A BetWay Sportsbook (SBR rating C-) player has filed a sportsbook complaint. The player has claimed that approximately €100 in winnings were confiscated from him during the enforcement of the controversial and since discontinued "30% rule". Betway management is presently following up on this sportsbook complaint. SBR will update this report.
SBR last reported on a BetWay Super Bowl bonus complaint. The sportsbook enticed bettors to deposit by promising a £50 free bet to be used on the second half of Super Bowl XLVIII, although dozens of players reported being unable to use the bonus as it was applied to their accounts after the game started. Betway apologised for the error and later made manual adjustments to players that were unable to use the free bet.
SBR reported on 13 January 2014 that BetWay credited a player in an old cold case dispute.
BetWay Sportsbook had its rating upgraded by SBR from D to C- in September of 2013 after satisfactorily resolvingoutstanding disputes and agreeing to change their bonus confiscation procedures.
