BetSolo Sportsbook Feedback Wanted
A BetSolo Sportsbook player has filed a complaint.
The player reported winning €485 from the sports betting site.
After providing a series of ID documents necessary to complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) process, the player provided a bank account he wished to receive payment into, which prompted the online sportsbook to refund his deposit.
BetSolo: "You are a resident of Belarus and are providing us with a Polish bank account, declaring that you wish to avoid paying tax in Belarus on your winnings. We are subject to very rigid KYC procedures and anti-moneylaundering regulatons which we adhere to very strictly. Your deposit of EUR 100 has been refunded to you in full."
The player argues this decision by claiming that it is his right to ask for payment to a bank account in his name, regardless of the country the bank account was opened with.
BetSolo also took issue with the documents provided by the player; the player claims to have provided a photo holding ID, but BetSolo wanted more than just a passport showing the player's photo, and the player countered his passport is his only form of photo ID.
SBR has asked BetSolo for comment.
