BetOwi Sportsbook player confirms receiving bitcoin withdrawal
Sportsbook Review reported earlier in the week that a BetOwi Sportsbook (SBR rating C-) player filed a payout complaint.
The player requested a $500 withdrawal via bitcoin on February 8, one day after Super Bowl 50.
He was not paid in the time-frame he expected and took issue with a bitcoin payout taking so long in the first place.
Bitcoin allows betting sites to quickly and easily move funds without relying on third-party processors.
The player has since confirmed receiving payment from the online betting site.
BetOwi is a sister sportsbook to SportsBettingOnline.
Sportsbook Review added BetOwi to the online sportsbooks rating guide on February 19, 2013. SportsBettingOnline debuted on the sportsbook rating guide on May 26, 2012.
Sports bettors can shop for a list of bitcoin accepting sportsbooks using the SBR directory, which contains information such as the bitcoin platform available at each betting site, whether funds are held in local currency or bitcoin, minimum deposits, and more.
