The lights have officially closed at BetInternet Sportsbook (SBR rating B).
Earlier this week, SBR reported that BetInternet's parent company - Webis
Holdings Plc, announced on their website that BetInternet would permanently close on March 5. A brief statement detailed that customer service would remain in place for a period of 90 days to assist with player payout inquiries.
The clock has now started on this time-frame. Players are urged to proceed with requesting their funds, as the statement indicated after 90 days have elapsed, remaining balances will be considered unclaimed and erased.
The timing is unfortunate, as players who might have only bet with BetInternet for American football are likely to be blindsided by the abrupt closure this fall.
SBR has reached out to BetInternet to inquire on if there will truly be no recourse for players who are too late for the 90 day deadline to receive their balances.
Sportsbook Review will update if there are any developments.
