BetAtHome player has balance confiscated after poker chip dump
A BetAtHome Sportsbook player has filed a complaint against the betting site with SBR.
The player had €1400 in winnings confiscated by BetAtHome after intentionally dumping €400 in chips to a friend in a heads up poker cash game. He claimed he was attempting to transfer funds to a friend, and that his balance was legitimate.
The player claimed that his funds were not tied to any bonus rollover requirement and that it was an honest attempt on his part to transfer money to a friend.
SBR is investigating the complaint with the online sportsbook.
What is poker chip-dumping?
Poker chip-dumping is the act of colluding with other players, sometimes as a means to circulate ill-gotten funds or to move funds between accounts. When done for nefarious purposes, chip-dumping can allow a player to avoid an insufficient deposit or to dispose funds taken from ana ccount. Software in 2014 has gotten much better at identifying chip dumps, and players are advised not to do so even if for what seem like innocent reasons.
Online sportsbooks will almost always take disciplinary action if they believe players are dumping funds to other accounts.
Players in need of assistance should submit a sportsbook complaint form.
