BetAtHome confiscates player's €5,000+ balance
A BetAtHome Sportsbook (SBR rating C) player has filed a complaint.
The player signed up for Euro 2016 and deposited €400 and received a 50% bonus of €200.
He made soccer bets as normal and completed his rollover requirement.
He asked for a €5,164 payout request and was asked to in turn send photos of himself holding his ID and utility bill. The player obliged the request but after a few days received notice that his account would be closed and winnings confiscated.
The player was told that his documents did not pass their KYC needs and he would not be paid. He was then told he was sent a decision by mail.
His next step is to file a complaint with the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) as BetAtHome is unwilling to discuss the details of third party complaints with Sportsbook Review.
Sportsbook Review has advised the player accordingly and asked him to share updates on his complaint status with the MGA.
