Atlantic City gambling off to rocky start, SBR iGaming News
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was among those who expected online gambling in the Garden State to bring in hundreds of millions in annual revenue. Since its implementation late last year, New Jersey iGaming has been off to a much more tepid start than anticipated. NJ has raked in just $27 million by the end of February 14, much less than what the State was hoping for.
Sportsbook Review reported numerous times leading up to and after the implementation of internet gambling in the Garden State. SBR also interviewed NJ State Senator Raymond Lesniak twice concerning bringing gambling to the forefront of Atlantic City in an attempt to bring in much needed revenue.
PokerStars may not be losing any sleep over the lukewarm state to gambling in Atlantic City, after the Division of Gaming Enforcement barred PokerStars from conducting internet games for two years.
