1XBet lists wrong team & honors losing bet, says player
A 1XBet Sportsbook (unrated) player has filed a wagering complaint.
The player risked $300 on the South Africa vs. Eskisehirspor U19 football match. He saw that his wager was graded as a loss and then moved on to other bets, before realizing that South Africa actually played Galatsaray U19.
He is adamant that had the market been correctly listed, he would have never placed his wager.
The industry standard is that when a wrong team is listed all bets have no action and are voided, even for players who wagered on the correctly listed team.
The player pointed out that 1XBet lists a similar rule for tennis players names being correctly listed, but the sportsbook claimed that is tennis and the rule does not apply to football.
SBR has followed up with 1XBet Sportsbook to discuss the complaint.
Sportsbook Review has reported on five previous 1XBet complaints.
The complaints received so far involve verification disputes --- players taking issue with the sportsbook's insistence that players video chat via Skype to verify their accounts, an unheard of request in the scheme of things -- and wagering disputes.
Online sportsbook undergoing evaluation
SBR is evaluating the online sportsbook for an initial rating. Online sportsbooks typically open at a default rating based on the strength of their sportsbook licensing, player feedback to date, financial transparency, years on-line among other things.
1XBet is owned by Techinfusion Limited and is part of a sub-gaming license for a company registered in Curacao.
1XBet players in need of assistance should submit a sportsbook complaint.
