Betbanks.com (SBR rating D) is making its rounds across messageboards and Twitter, advertising 25% signup bonuses with no rollovers. SBR urges players to be extremely cautious when depositing for bonuses that sound too good to be true. White label turnkeys have a high failure rate with historically little investment.
The Costa-Rica based sportsbook claims to be primarily a credit outfit
with 10% of their business driven by post-up clients. SBR interviewed
management and requested permission to visit the Betbanks office to
conduct a sportsbook photo tour. Betbanks stated that it would need to consult its senior associate prior to allowing SBR into their facility.
Based on available information, SBR has determined that the business model of Betbanks.com is not sustainable long-term, and is potentially a fly-by night attempt at soliciting player deposits. Betbanks can only process Western Union and Moneygram transactions, which is consistent with previous scam sportsbooks such as Houstonbet (SBR rating F). Like Houstonbet, Betbanks states that it is interested in marketing toward the Asian market.
Betbanks players with feedback are asked to write to help@sportsbookreview.com.

No-pay sportsbook BookTheBet (SBR rating F) has went off-line. The scam sportsbook accumulated a number of no-pay complaints which were reported to SBR in the last four years. BookTheBet was downgraded to F in June of 2006. BookTheBet made waves in late 2005 when it offered players stiffed by UWagerSports (SBR rating F) 300% 'bailout bonuses'. BookTheBet began to accumulate slowpay complaints which later turned into no pays. The largest documented winner with BookTheBet is a player that has been owed $28,000 since July 3rd of 2006. From SBR cases alone BookTheBet's player debt exceeds $40,000. Sister sportsbook PornSportbook (SBR rating F) is also off-line.

BetPhoenix (SBR rating B+) players have experienced spotty internet access this past week as the sportbook executed its move to a new internet service provider. BetPhoenix indicates that its casino and racebook platform are still experiencing intermittent downtime, but that access to the sportsbook is now fully restored. SBR has tested the login process and confirmed the sportsbook is currently functioning properly.
05.18.2009 (10:47 AM CST)Las Palmas Group (SBR rating D+) players report being owed a total of $25,000 since February. One player is requesting payment by check. The two others are seeking bank wires. The bettors have also complained of a lack of email communication when inquiring about the status of their withdrawals. SBR has verified that other
LasPalmas players that have been waiting over a month have recently been paid. Verified payments were for lesser amounts in the range of $2,000. SBR has also confirmed a
$40,000 payment via book-to-book transfer last month.
04.15.2009 (04:41 PM CST)Las Palmas Group pays two owed players. Both players have been waiting for payment since February third. One of the two, an eHorseX (SBR rating D+) player, received payment of $40,000 via transfer to Bookmaker (SBR rating A+). A third player reports waiting for funds since March. Once payment is sent, the Las Palmas Sportsbook ratings may be reassessed. | Discussion
01.12.2009 (11:06 PM CST)Players at scam sportsbook SportsbookUSA (SBR rating F) giving up on funds
Frustration has taken its toll on many players at Futurebet-owned SportsbookUSA. Although the sportbook continues to offer customer service for active players and bonuses for new players, it will not service players requesting funds. Customer Support simply apologizes saying they do not have a timeline for when money will be available. Futurebet is a business partner of
BetOnUSA (SBR rating D-) and
Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-). These sportsbooks should also be avoided at all costs.
Player: They now owe me over $9K. Tried to get my $3,818 for over two years now. Just cancelled it and have been playing with the money. Unfortunately winning! What should I do, anything? I feel like my hands are tied, should I just quit trying?

The book’s hosting company, which directly manages Ultimate-Odds (SBR rating C-) and WagerDaily (SBR rating C-), tells SBR that the site will be turned off unless owed players are paid in full and that the book is currently looking for a new host.

02.22.2006 (03:31 PM CST)TheCasinoFiles(SBR rating F) goes offline; blames turnkey provider, Futurebet. This situation illustrates the problems that can occur with turnkey partnerships where neither party claims responsibility for player funds. The webmaster refers to owed players and advises them to pursue their funds with Futurebet directly. TheCasinoFiles.com message goes on to suggest players come back to the site when they make another attempt to operate with a different provider. Players with Futurebet are reporting no-pays on a daily basis.
We regret to inform you that the casino and or sportsbook that you had created an account for with thecasinofiles.com is no longer available for your wagers. The website links to the casino games and sportsbook that you have been using are now offline.
This website has been using the licensee ’Future Bet’ for the casino and sportbook wagering. We have heard too many complaints from players of not getting paid for their withdrawls by Future Bet or slow paying that can take months. We feel that a company that operates like this seems to be having major financial problems. This website has elected to change to a gaming provider that has been operating properly for years and paying the players. The new casino and sportsbook will appear here soon.
We recommend that you withdraw any funds that you have in your account with Future Bet immediately.

04.22.2005 (07:02 PM CST)speaks with ownership and management of Sportbet (SBR rating C+) about the direction of the company. In the past, SBR has expressed concern over the different interpretations of Sportbet’s rules and how they were applied differently to different players. Sportbet has provided SBR with rule revisions that should eliminate the potential for unnecessary disputes. Management states that they are adopting a more player-friendly attitude and that player feedback will reflect this. SBR would like to encourage Sportbet customers to continue to send feedback to assistance@sportbookreview.com. Sportbet and sister book IslandCasino upgraded from C to C+.
03.10.2005 (01:45 PM CST)Intertops (SBR rating C-) states that they will be current with payout requests by the end of the day. Any player who is still awaiting payment this evening should write to assistance@sportbookreview.com
03.03.2005 (04:15 PM CST)SBR receives multiple complaints from players waiting for Neteller payouts from Intertops (SBR rating B+). Intertops states that their Neteller account is unfunded due to a poorly scheduled promotion. Management expects their merchant account to be fully funded by Wednesday, leaving some players waiting 10 days. It is SBR’s opinion that 10 days is an excessive amount of time to fund a merchant account. However, Intertops is offering alternate payment options with fees not to exceed the cost of Neteller. Players with further concerns should write to assistance@sportbookreview.com.
02.22.2005 (03:11 PM CST)Three players report receiving payment in full from Austrian sportsbook, Bets4all (SBR rating D-). Players still owed by Bets4all may write to assistance@sportbookreview.
12.25.2004 (10:59 AM CST)Players report cold holiday season with no-pay sportsbooks. This past week SBR received a flood of slow-pay and no-pay complaints from books that continue to solidify their F ratings. Complaints included: WorldWager (SBR rating F) player reports being stiffed for $2,000; 2WagerSports (SBR rating F) player reports being owed $600 for over 3 weeks while phones have been down; SSP (SBR rating F) player files no-pay complaint claiming that he has been owed over $2,000 since September. Internet1x2 (SBR rating F) in full slow-pay mode once again. After eliminating a large portion of their debt, 1x2 is frustrating players with broken promises of payment. A few players are reporting small sporadic payments. These payments are likely sent out as unsuspecting new players deposit. SBR has also received the weekly batch of no-pay complaints from new victims of scam sportsbook, ESB (SBR rating F-). Players who are aware of any sites ESB utilizes for marketing purposes are encouraged to contact Bill_Dozer@SportbookReview.com.
11.15.2004 (06:05 PM CST)SBR to investigate the fate of player funds in the likley event that this sportbook closes its doors permanently. Below is the message received by players.
"As explained on the company's website www.sportingoptions.co.uk administrators are currently assessing the financial position of the company and reviewing its business operations. All trading on the company's website has been suspended until further notice. If you are a registered user, you may still view your account balance and history by logging on to the website. We would confirm that all unsettled markets have now been voided, and individual account balances updated accordingly. We will endeavour to deal with your queries as quickly as possible, but ask that in the first instance you refer to the information made available on the company's website. The large number of customers make dealing with telephone enquiries time consuming and would delay the process of dealing with enquiries and the administration of the company efficiently. Thank you for your co-operation.

11.10.2004 (04:26 PM CST)NetGames Inc, the parent company of Internet1x2 (SBR rating F-) and Yahoops (SBR rating F-), reports completing a move to their new office in Belize. The new number, 1-866-511-1026, is not yet listed on the website. Management has promised payment to some players tomorrow, and has requested a list of players from SBR who have reported being owed. They have recently sent payment to a few clients, which has prompted many other players to write to SBR, wondering if there is a chance they may be paid next. NetGames blames lack of banking options in Belize for recent slow-pays and claims to still be pursuing banking services in Antigua. SBR will continue to follow any NetGames developments. Players who wish to have their accounts monitored by SBR may write to assistance@sportbookreview.com.
11.01.2004 (01:29 PM CST)Sportbook.com (SBR rating D-) offers a bonus of 15% for new accounts and states “..must wager at least 2x the amount of the deposit plus bonus”. Seems clear, right??? Wrong! A player wagered twice the amount and called for a payout and was told 2x was not enough. The book fired back to the winning player the rules state “at least 2x”. The book goes on to say “….it(bonus rollover) is anything we say it is.” The book refuses to pay and refuses to tell the player how much he will have to bet to get a payout.
Rules written in a way that gives the sportsbook a way to cheat a player is like having a back-up scam at the ‘ready’ just in case the player wins.
10.28.2004 (03:52 PM CST)A group of players who have filed complaints against Cybersportsbook (SBR rating D) have admitted using multiple accounts to circumvent limits.
