On December 11th, SBR reported that a sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C) player received only half of a $9,500 payout. The player has received a seperate $9,400 payment since the initial botched withdrawal, but has yet to receive the $4,750 owed. sportsbetting.com management stated they were investigating with their processor, but has failed to provide a concrete update.

Player vs sportsbetting.com, Super Bowl wagers dispute
A sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C) player submits a wagering dispute.

The dispute
The player placed three bets on potential Super Bowl matches. Bet one was the over in a New England vs San Francisco SB. Bet two was the New England pointspread against the 49ers. Bet three was the over in a Super Bowl of Baltimore vs San Francisco. After the conference championship weekend, New England and New York advanced to the Super Bowl.

The player expected his wagers to be voided, as the outcome of the conference championship weekend eliminated Baltimore and San Francisco from the playoffs. He claims to have placed the same future Super Bowl match bets elsewhere, and claims that he was credited his wager amounts back since the teams he bet on would not actually play in the game.

The sportsbook's position
A sportsbetting.com representative advised the player that since the teams he wagered on will not be playing, that his wagers would be graded as losses following the Super Bowl.

SBR is following up with sportsbetting.com management to confirm the accuracy of the sportsbook rep's statement. Players that also wagered these Super Bowl bet types are advised to write to SBR.

UPDATE: The player has confirmed that sportsbetting.com credited his account tonight with the $420.

On 11 December 2011, SBR reported that a sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C) player received only half of a $9,500 payout. The player states that on November 27th, an additional $9,400 was requested, as well as a $9,500 check on January 6th. The player has not received any of the payouts. SBR is following up on this sportsbook complaint.

A sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C) player reports requesting a $2,604.62 withdrawal on September 19th. The player states that his funds have not been received. The player states that the sportsbetting.com (ag) live help department has been unable to provide a meaningful payout update.

On October 10th, SBR reported that a sportsbetting.com player made a withdrawal request of $1,400 on August 6th, and to date had not been paid.

A sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C) player reports a payout complaint. The player states that on August 6th, he requested a withdrawal of $1,400, which was never received. The amount ended up being placed back in the bettor's account "several times", at which point the player continued to wager and eventually increased his balance to $9,500. The player states that on September 13th, he made a new payout request for that amount and was told that payment could not be made, and that an update would be given. SBR has contacted sportsbetting.com (ag) management to confirm the player's timeline.

On October 4th, SBR reported a conclusion on the previously documented sportsbetting.com wagering dispute, where a player's second half wager on the NY Giants vs Arizonal Cardinals football game was canceled during the third quarter. The player allegedly had bet on a second half line that was mispriced by five cents, though management later clarified that the pointspread was out of line by a half-point. After discussing the complaint with SBR, management agreed to credit the player's winnings and correctly settle effected tickets.

A sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C) manager has addressed the wagering dispute reported by SBR on October 3rd. In that dispute, a player stated that a second half wager on the NY Giants vs Arizona Cardinals game was canceled during the third quarter. The player forwarded an email from sportsbetting.com (ag) which indicated that the wager was voided due to the correct line being a mere five cents different. The manager who spoke with SBR indicated that the wagering supervisor who made this ruling acted in error, and that effected players would have their winning tickets reinstated. SBR asks sportsbetting.com players to write to help@sportsbookreview.com with feedback.

sportsbetting.com cancels bet mispriced by .05 during game
A sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C) player submits a sportsbook wagering complaint. The player tells SBR that he placed a $550 wager on the NY Giants vs Arizona Cardinals halftime total, which was listed at 21 points -105/-115. The player's wager was on "over", priced at -105. The player claims that after 14 points had been scored in the second half, he received an email message indicating that his wager had been canceled. sportsbetting.com (ag) cited a line error, claiming that the correct line was 21.5 -110/-110.

sportsbetting.com: The message is to inform you that the wagers on the Second Half total of the New York Giants vs. Arizona Cardinals NFL game scheduled for today Sunday, October 2nd, 2011 have been No Actioned due to a wrong line po sted. The total for the second half of the game was listed as 21.5, UN -115; the correct line was 21.5, -110 either way.

As per our rules,

"We will make every effort to ensure that all information available on our Site is accurate; however, in the case of obvious mechanical, technical or human error in the prices or conditions we publish, we reserve the right, at our discretion, to either modify your wager and to pay you out at the correct prices or to no-action your wager."

SBR is attempting to verify this sportsbook complaint. A sportsbook cannot choose to void a wager if it is allegedly mispriced by a mere five cents. Additionally, the player's claim that the wager was accepted then voided during the game would cement the sportsbook's actions as unjust. SBR will update this report.

Win4Real theft of player winnings?
A Win4Real (SBR rating C-) player reports that his winnings are not being honored. On February 26th, the player opened his account with Win4Real, depositing $12,000 via Moneybookers. He increased his balance to $32,000.

On March 7th, Win4Real zeroed the player's balance claiming that he also has a sportsbetting.com account. Win4Real is part of the sportsbetting.com Group, which has a rule prohibiting players from having more than one account with the family. | Win4Real dispute

Update: SBR finds the player likely defrauded Win4Real.

confiscates $90,000 from player. The player began playing with Win4Real in the fall of 2009. Over the course of a year, the player made roughly $10,000 in deposits. In October of 2009, the player risked $650 on a seven team parlay, which won and netted him approximately $70,000. The player proceeded to win another $20,000 in the casino. In late 2009, Win4Real suspended the player's balance and locked his account. Win4Real has not provided comment to the player or SBR on why the player's balance was seized. On 5/28/2009, SBR reported that Win4Real and sister sportsbooks sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C-) and Racebook.com (SBR rating C-) confiscated $20,000 from a winning player with accounts at each outfit.

A new sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C-) bounced check dispute has been reported. On 12/23, SBR reported that a player had a check bounce for $924.52 in October, and had not yet been repaid. Another player has come forward indicating to SBR that a check paid to him in November for $1,500 bounced. sportsbetting.com management has not yet discussed the first dispute with SBR.

On 12/21, SBR reported a sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C-) dispute. A player stated that a check for $924.52 bounced in October, and that he provided all followup information requested. sportsbetting.com issued the following generic statement to the player today:

Unfortunately at the moment there is no update about your bounced check. Please note that we have sent all the required information about it to the processing team, as soon as there is an update we will contact you back.

A sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C-) player submits a withdrawal dispute. The player states that he had a $924.52 check bounce in October, and has not been repaid. The player tells SBR that he provided sportsbetting.com with all required documents to show that the check was not cashed, but has not been credited with the funds or sent a replacement check. SBR is following up on this dispute.

About two months ago I attempted to withdraw $924.52 from sportsbetting.com. The check that they sent me bounced, apparently due to insufficient funds in the account that the check was written out of. I have sent sportsbetting.com everything they've requested of me, and since early November I have spoken to roughly 15-20 customer service reps about the situation. Most of them have assured me, day after day, that my money would be credited back to the account "by the end of business" that day. It never is, and still hasn't been.

A sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C-) player says that his $8,000 balance was seized. In July, he deposited $500 and increased his balance to approximately $8,000. After requesting a $2,500 payout, sportsbetting.com accused the player of fraud, confiscated his winnings, and refunded his $500 deposit. Sportsbetting never gave the player an explanation for the seizure. SBR is discussing this dispute with Sportsbetting.

BestHockeyBetting.com (SBR rating F) is offering a signup bonus of 20% to new accounts. BestHockeyBetting is a scam sportsbook under what is now a mostly defunct sportsbook group, EZ Sports. EZ Sports operated 49 sportsbook domain names at its peak and has scammed players out of hundreds of thousands in winnings. One of those players wrote in to SBR today indicating he had been stiffed $45,500 by Vegas-sportsbetting.com (SBR rating F) in 2005. A sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C-) player claims to have lost his $1710.92 balance as a result of a software error. The player attempted to sit at the sportsbetting.com poker table and clicked an open seat, when he claims a technical error message displayed on the screen which froze his poker client. After rebooting the client and logging back into his sportsbetting.com account, the player claims his $1710.92 balance was missing. SBR is following up on the complaint.

A sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C-) live wagering dispute has been received. A player making live wagers on the NHL game bewteen the Buffalo Sabres and Boston Bruins had 4 wagers no-actioned. All 4 wagers were placed in the 3rd period, two of which on the Bruins +1.5 +110 and 2 on the Over 3.5 goals -165. sportsbetting.com stated to the player that the lines were supposed to be offered for the 2nd period, not the 3rd period. The player notes that when the wagers were placed, the game was already in the 3rd period. SBR is investigating the complaint.

sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C-) has addressed the sportsbook complaint reported on April 12th. sportsbetting.com has stated that the player had mismatching names on the ID documents provided, and took more than a month to reply with the required information, causing the payment delay. sportsbetting.com has stated that the payment was processed as normal after the player's account was verified.

In a second case, a player requested a wire transfer of $1127 on March 26th and has yet to receive his funds. sportsbetting.com has stated the processed wire which left their account is missing, and that it can take up to 4 weeks for the bank to return the money.

Two months ago a player requested a withdrawal of $1691 and was asked to provide credit card documentation before his payout could be processed. The player obliged to all requests. After confirming that the required information was submitted, sportsbetting.com allowed the player to make his withdrawal request, then canceled it after a week claiming that his account hasn't been verified. The player states that he spoke to ten different customer service representatives via the telephone, in addition to numerous live chat requests. SBR is investigating.

sportsbetting.com closes player's account without explanation
On July 29th, sportsbetting.com (SBR Rating C-) disabled a player's account for what was described as a "random security check." The player had deposited $1500 via prepaid debit card from July 24th to July 26th, in three different transactions. Over a 3 day period, the player made approximately 30 wagers before the account was disabled. sportsbetting.com asked the player to provide ID documents to verify the player's identity. After the requested documents were supplied and confirmed as received, the player was then asked to fax the back of driver license, which was sent on August 3rd. Since that time, the player has sent several emails inquiring as to why the account is still locked, which has approximately $2000 in it. sportsbetting.com has been the source of communication and unjust confiscation complaints. The player has been sent only automated email responses and remains locked out of the account. Sister books, sportsbetting.com, Racebook, and Win4Real confiscate player's winnings and deposits
The player opened accounts at all three sportsbooks in June of 2008, depositing and playing consistently for five months. In November his accounts, which showed a profit of approximately $20,000, were frozen. The sportsbook cited a rule saying the player could only have an account at one sportsbook in the sportsbetting.com Group. SBR has advised the sportsbook to pay the player for all wagers it booked since the player's funds were at risk. Bookmakers should have the ability to limit a player's action but should not retroactively void winning bets. Thus far Sportsbetting
(SBR rating C-), Win4Real (SBR rating C-) and Racebook (SBR rating C-) have not agreed to pay the player for winning wagers, or even the winnings on the first of the three accounts joined. $9,500 in player deposits remain in possession of the sportsbook without an explanation, six months after closure. Player vs. Win4Real (SBR rating C-)
Win4Real offered a proposition wager on the total amount of free throws made by NBA basketball player, Aaron Brooks, in a single game. The player took the under on a total set of 2.5 free throws made. Aaron Brooks played in the game and did not make or attempt a free throw. The wagering ticket provided by the player shows only the stipulation that the player must play. Win4Real, a sportsbook in the sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C-) Group, gave an illogical response to the player's complaint:
As per the update from our Grading department, the Free Throws under 2.5 indicates that Aaron Brooks should at least score below 2.5 but not zero(Under 2.5 indicates that the score must be less than 2.5 and Zero is not considered under 2.5).
You must have notice that Aaron Brooks did not score the Free Throws, which indicates that the score is Zero and hence the bet has been graded as Noaction.
SBR has inquired with management on the player's behalf. Bettors who were not paid on a bet of under on the total free throws by Aarron Brooks are invited to contact SBR.

Racebook (SBR rating C-) tells Sportsbook Review it has returned $1,000 in confiscated funds to player. The refund represents a deposit made to Racebook.com in 2008. The sportsbook originally told the player that the funds were not returned because he broke the rule of having more than one account within the sportsbetting.com Family of sportsbooks. The player had accounts at sister books sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C-) and Win4Real (SBR rating C-) that were in good standing and inactive. SBR is seeking more information on why the deposit was not initially returned and if there were other non-bonus funds in the account. SBR will reassess sportsbetting.com after pursuing further details from the company.

Racebook (SBR rating C-) confiscates player funds
The player deposited $1,000 and won an additional $200. The sportsbook told the player that because he previously had an account at sister sportsbooks sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C-) and Win4Real (SBR rating C-) he is not eligible to have an account at Racebook. Racebook has confiscated his deposit and winnings citing their terms and conditions which state that accounts at more than one sportsbetting.com Group book are not allowed. The player states that his accounts at sportsbetting.com and Win4Real are in good standing and are inactive. Racebook.com's betting limits were not exceeded. SBR Dispute Manager Lou has asked the sportsbook to address the confiscation claim of both deposits and winnings. On May 5th, Racebook sportsbook agreed to credit a different player for deposited funds confiscated in 2008.

SBR is seeking more information about the bets and the date the cited rule was added to the sportsbetting.com Group's websites. The original complaint was reported April 29th:

The amount risked per play exceeded the limit given to him at sportsbetting.com. SBR has asked sportsbetting.com to return the player's deposits of $800. SBR's position is that the sportsbook should not benefit from the player's actions.
The sportsbetting.com family of books currently has a rule stating that only one sportsbook within the book's family can be utilized. SBR will address the secondary issue of if the sportsbook had this rule in place when the player made these deposits. He won $6,400 in wagers that were not honored. Under normal circumstances a sports betting company with multiple brands is expected to honor all wagers before identifying a player it does not want to service at its sportsbooks.

sportsbetting.com tackling processor delays; poor customer support remains problem for players
sportsbetting.com's (SBR rating C-) problems with inadequate banking resources were magnified by poor communication with users. The sportsbook has recovered paying most past due amounts including $30,000 to one player in late July. Players continue to report sending multiple emails and a front line of customer service that cannot do anything but pass the complaint on to unavailable management.

Player: I made two deposits on July 6th. They were never credited to my betting account but were deducted from my bank account. I have contacted CS multiple times using both email and phone and have gotten absolutely nowhere. They keep telling me 24-48 hours and they'll contact me. I never hear from them, then I call and they tell me the same load of crap again. I strongly advise any and everyone to pull their money from these guys. I wish I would have found your site before I made my deposits.

Sportsbook.com (SBR rating D-) yet to correct April 13th misgraded wagers
Players with losing wagers on Herzeliya vs. Beitar Jerusalem may contact SBR for help requesting a manual sportsbook account credit. The match was called before completion due to crowd violence. Sportsbook.com's rules state the match must be completed for the player to have action. SBR has already assisted one player correct his account however, the sportsbook has not applied credits to all deserving account holders. It is common for the Sportsbook.com Group to credit only the players who complain. Two players from sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C-), which outsources its wagering and odds management to Sportsbook.com, are awaiting credits.

The sportsbook has been behind in payments since it stopped using Sportsbook.com (SBR rating D-) accounting service in December of last year. Over 25 users have submitted payout complaints within the past month. The majority of these players are most alarmed by the lack of communication with the sportsbook, saying they are continually promised updates by email and phone that never arrive. SBR can verify that players have been paid five figures. Recent history suggest players who are waiting will be paid within two months.
Player waiting for $2,500: They literally have provided zero updates. The call center "pros" keep giving the same empty assurances and "we understand your frustration" pleasantries, but there has been exactly zero word from the actual withdrawal department about when they are going to re-issue a check. | Player discussion

The sportsbook's users have complained about the absence of a working phone line, not receiving email responses and slow-pays since the start of December. sportsbetting.com switched to in-house customer service and financial processing at the start of December. Players have recently confirmed receiving payouts that were originally requested through the Sportsbook.com Group's service in November.
Update 2:20 PM: Two players who complained of withdrawal delays in December report receiving subsequent four-figure payouts in seven days.

sportsbetting.com (SBR rating C-) leaves Jazette Ltd. (Sportsbook.com Family) customer service
sportsbetting.com has removed the service provider's phone number from its website as the first Jazette-affiliated sportsbook not to utilize any of the operation's client support system and staff management. The book will provide its own customer service and accounting department. Sportsbetting has not offered a phone support line of its own but states it is "upgrading its phones service" and is asking players to use its LiveChat feature. Sportsbetting continues to use Sportsbook.com's World Gaming software and line management system. The move is expected to be followed by other Sportsbook.com partner books that want to avoid providing poor customer service and the unethical actions taken by Jazette management. SBR will closely monitor new payout request and player support services.

SBR comments on upgrades for sportsbetting.com, BetUSA and Linesmaker
Ownership for these three Sportsbook.com-hosted books have agreed to make decisions independent of Sportsbook.com (SBR rating D-) and in a manner that is deemed to be fair to users. Each book has addressed old complaints and states that it is committed to addressing future issues. These sportsbooks offer email service that by-pass the Sportsbook.com customer service center. Sportsbook.com has allowed a long list of player complaints to build. The list includes verified reports of outright theft and cheating on individual bets. SBR will publish a detailed report of offenses once all data is gathered and discussions on remaining issues have concluded. SportsBetting and Linesmaker have been upgraded from D+ to C-, BetUSA from C- to C. Privately owned Sportsbook.com-hosted sportsbooks that would like to clarify their position and address pending issues should contact SBR.

Note: All sportsbook.com-serviced books rely on the operation for its financial processing. The group was unable to pay some non-U.S. players for over five months earlier in 2007.

sportsbetting.com (SBR rating D+) joins BetUSA (SBR rating C-) in stating that it will not confiscate winnings from correlated parlays, which was the original action taken by service provider, Sportsbook.com's (SBR rating D+) operation management. Any players that have found their sportsbetting.com account to be debited should contact SBR or sportsbetting.com.

BetUSA has added the following rule to address the lack of software control over correlated parlays. Other Sportsbook.com sister sites are encouraged to add similar language and warn players via email that this new stipulation exists.

Correlated parlay betting: The results of certain events can be considered to be correlated. For example, in college football betting on a heavy underdog (eg 35 point underdog) and the under in the game is statistically correlated. If players consistently bet correlated parlays then management reserves the right to regrade wagers. Wagers will be split so that half the stake will go on the pointspread and half on the under in the game. This rule applies from 19 October 2007. This will only apply to those regularly staking $50 or more on parlays and is intended only to limit professional bettors who consistently bet correlated parlays.

SBR continues to discuss this matter with Sportsbook.com management with little progress. Sportsbook.com has agreed to credit players for losing correlated parlays since September 1st. This is of little consolation for most victims because only winning account holders were robbed during a time period when Sportsbook.com noticed players beating the book for large sums. Players do not have the option to recover losses from periods prior when they may have sustained a losing run. The offer by Sportsbook.com, although possibly reducing the amount stolen, further illustrates why the actions are unjust.

Player's PyramidCasino (SBR rating D-) $9,500 balance disappears
The sportsbook was part of the BetOnUSA Group (Empire Entertainment Ltd) before BetOnUSA moved its network of sportsbook websites under the Sportsbook.com Group (Jazette Enterprises Ltd) in December of 2006. When BetOnUSA chose to cut ties with Jazette and move its websites to the SportsbookUSA Group (Futurebet) last month they redirected PyramidCasino.com to land at BetOnUSA.com. Most PyramidCasino account holders can log in at BetOnUSA (SBR rating D). This player has been told by BetOnUSA that they have not received the funds from the Sportsbook.com operation and are not responsible for the balance despite owning the site, which now points to BetOnUSA. Sportsbook.com management claims the player debt belongs to BetOnUSA despite that funds were won when the site was managed by the Sportsbook.com Group and the player currently being able to log in to his zeroed out account using the Jazette-operated sportsbetting.com (SBR rating D+). This is the second player to report that the two companies are playing hot potato with his balance. A player who won over $100,000 from BetOnUSA's casino has not been able to access the $85,000 that was remaining in his BetOnUSA account. Both companies claim the debt belongs to the other. BetOnUSA is owned by the same group that owns Oddsmaker (SBR rating D-). These issues serve as a reminder of the added risk that comes with playing at turnkey sportsbooks.

BetOnUSA (SBR rating D+) moving to Futurebet from the Sportsbook.com (SBR rating D+) Family
BetOnUSA's website is currently displaying the message:

"We at BetOnUSA.com have decided that it is in the best interest of our players to re-launch with US focused software. We will exhaust every option available to us to make the account transfer process as seamless as possible and to return BetOnUSA.com to its roots as a US-based gaming community."

The sportsbook is currently hosted on a Futurebet server and IP address. Some cashier pages are already live on the Futurebet/PlayerSupport network. Sportsbook.com support is telling BetOnUSA players they are having problems with the site when in fact the website is off-line so that accounts can be ported into the Futurebet software and the website can be moved to Futurebet's Canadian servers. Despite the Sportsbook.com Group's processing issues it is likely the payout situation will worsen for BetOnUSA users. It should be noted that BetOnUSA was known for dishonest practices prior to its move to Sportsbook.com's facility. PyramidSportsWager (SBR rating D+), a long time BetOnUSA sister site and IEE licensee, is also offline due to the impending transfer. Players are advised to pursue funds from these sportsbooks.

BetOnUSA (SBR rating D-) and sister books acquired by Jazette Enterprises Limited (D+ rated Sportsbook.com). Sportsbook management tells SBR the BetOnUSA Group (Empire Entertainment Ltd) was purchased last month. All customer service and accounting is now directed to the Sportsbook building in Costa Rica. The purchase brings sportsbetting.com (SBR rating D-) back to the company and gives Jazette ownership of the World Gaming software code.
JEL states that it will look into no-pay claims against BetOnUSA, including the latest from a player waiting four months for $1,000.16. JEL sportsbooks also have their own no-pay complaints pending. During the migration of SportingbetUSA (SBR rating D+) last October to Jel-owned SuperBook (SBR rating D+) some accounts, balances and pending wagers were lost.

Former World Gaming licensees downgraded to D-
One-time B- rated sportsbook, Gambling.net has been lowered to D- along with sportsbetting.com. Both sportsbooks were hosted and serviced by the Sportingbet offices in Costa Rica while holding a licensing agreement and domain name leasing contract with World Gaming Plc. BetOnUSA (SBR rating D-) parent company, Empire Entertainment Ltd. has purchased the World Gambling service contracts. These sites are expected to be managed by BetOnUSA and its staff in the near future. Players are advised to redeem balances at this time.

SBR Bill Dozer reports: Sportsbook.com (SBR rating D+) and sportsbetting.com (SBR rating D+) agree to refund $15,000 in casino losses to bettor. The correction comes one month after the player complained to SBR that his account was hacked and funds were lost in the casino. The sportsbook maintains that the funds were missing due to a "glitch". The balance adjustments will mark the sixth correction of this kind.
