SBR’s Betting Rules Monitor:
sports-gambling (SBR rating D-): adds rule #7 stating that "syndicate play" is prohibited. The generic rule was added to support recent theft of player funds at sister sportsbook SBG Global (SBR rating D-). SBG stole winnings from players who purchased picks from the same commercial sports handicapper.

Bet1128 (SBR rating C-) changes max payout: "The maximum amount paid out by the company for any one bet will be £97,500. €500,000.00."

Canbet (SBR rating A-) increases max payout: The maximum payout on any individual, multiple or combination bet, or, to any individual on any one day, is limited to US$200,000 US$400,000.

Legendz (SBR rating A+) adds rule #19 stating that free contest winnings are capped at $1,000 in a six month period. Legendz Sports also adds rule #20 stating that bonuses at multiple Legendz-owned sportsbooks will be at manager's discretion.

BetInternet (SBR rating B-) adds max payout for horse wagers of £75,000.

Mailbag Complaints:
WorldBet (SBR rating D-):
Player’s winning wager on FIBA basketball cancelled after match due to erroneous betting odds. Book not responding to player emails requesting the book pay at correct market odds.

DragonWager (SBR rating D-): Book moving toward F rating after two more players report no-pay cases. DragonWager continues to supply odd excuses such as a surge in chargebacks.

Bets4All (SBR rating F): Latest wave of no-pay complaints began last Tuesday. The sportsbook is using its usual excuse, stating it needs six weeks to verify legitimacy of credit card deposit. The ’verification process’ has lead to players waiting for months, years and some not being paid at all.

sports-gambling (SBR rating D-): New player reports confiscated $3,000 balance after transfer from SunsetSports (SBR rating F-) account, for being "too sharp". The SBG Global (SBR rating D-) Group has confiscated over $33,000 in legitimate balances in past year.

SBG Global (SBR rating D) gives player back amount he deposited, $10,500 of $28,821 balance
Management tells SBR the total balance of $28,821 was originally confiscated six months ago because the user had an account with the company’s other sportsbook, sports-gambling.com, where he gave "professional action". This player wagered at SBG Global for two months, meeting his bonus rollover requirement. In that time the account was reviewed resulting in a reduction in betting limits. SBG purchased sports-gambling in March of 2005, after the player was asked to leave sports-gambling. SBG states they will keep the player’s $18,321 in winnings.

SBR Bill Dozer reports: PlayWePay (SBR rating D+) not honoring ’BetCasinoSports bailout’ terms. The bettor received a free account balance as part of a bail-out package for BetCasinoSports (SBR rating F) users and went on to win an additional $15,310. PlayWePay has increased the rollover requirement and is limiting the amount the player will receive to $6,885. SBR has received multiple complaints from players with other sportsbooks who were offered "relief" after being a victim of a fallen book, only to see the ’rescuing’ sportsbook fail to pay. sports-gambling (SBR rating D) received positive press for coming to the rescue of SunsetSports (SBR rating F-) victims but later deleted winning accounts.

SBR Bill Dozer reports: Second player reports a balance of $5,888 stolen from his sports-gambling (SBR rating D-) account after his balance was transferred from SunsetSports (SBR rating F-). The player says the book told him it "was not profitable" to service him.

SBR Bill Dozer reports: sports-gambling cheating winning players.
sports-gambling (SBR rating D-) management confirms that it confiscated a player’s balance due to internal business problems that were unknown to the player. Last December the sportsbook agreed to book-to-book transfers with SunsetSports (SBR rating F-), which was near collapse. sports-gambling General Manager, Randal, tells SBR that the deletion of the $7,000 was "ownership’s decision" and that "it was never real money", because Sunset didn’t fulfill its financial obligations to sports-gambling. sports-gambling admits that it honored balances of transferred accounts they deemed to be profitable. The sportsbook has been downgraded twice in the last two months due to complaints of unjustly debiting account balances.

SBG Global Theft: SBG Global (SBR rating D) and sports-gambling (SBR rating D) Management confirms it has confiscated account balances due to "sharp play."
A sports-gambling player wagered consistantly over a two month period after his $7,000 balance was transferred from Sunset Sports(SBR rating F-). Management tells SBR they "zeroed his account because he is not someone we wish to deal with" after beating the book to betting odds changes in hockey.
A player with SBG was told he will not receive his balance of $28,821, which includes $10,000 of deposited funds, due to the fact that he had an account with the company’s other sportsbook, sports-gambling.com. Management tells SBR it was due to his "professional action." This player also wagered for two months, meeting his bonus rollover requirement at reduced betting limits of $500. SBR is scheduled to speak with ownership tomorrow about these cases, which can only be classified as blatant theft.

SBR Bill Dozer reports: sports-gambling (SBR rating D) takes over player’s $7,000 SunsetSports account then deletes balance. When SunsetSports folded, some account balances were transferred to sports-gambling. sports-gambling informed players it had "bailed out" Sunset clients but players would be required to wager their funds five times before requesting a withdrawal. sports-gambling informed this player that he has lost his funds for the second time, stating that they will no longer honor his balance.

Player: "I managed to speak to one customer service supervisor tonight. He said my acct balance is cleared because they didnt receive the funds from sunset sports after my acct was taken over by sports-gambling. I had a balance of $7000 at sunset sports. sports-gambling said they took over and gave me the balance to play coz they had good faith in sunset sports would transfer the money to them. But after I played for 2 months, they didnt receive any money from sunset sports, therefor they cleared my acct balance. I am puzzled and I dont think they act in a proper way. They misleaded me to believe that my acct was taken over by them and was in safe hands and that I didnt chase sunset sports cautiously. Now a few months has gone, they told me I lost all the money!"

SBR Bill Dozer reports: SunsetSports(SBR rating F) players left with more questions. Last week SBR confirmed with sports-gambling(SBR rating D+) management that the book, which is part of SBGglobal Group, would be taking over all Sunset player accounts at the start of this week. SBR has since spoken with SBGglobal’s General Manager who said the deal is not finalized and all accounts may not be migrated to sports-gambling. SunsetSports.com is now back online, claiming they are under a new company under different ownership. Sunset, which redirects to SunsetWager.com, tells SBR that customer accounts were divided according to "player packages" and some accounts will be moved to sports-gambling. Sunset is telling account holders they must roll-over their balances 6 times before they can have access to their funds. Players are rightfully concerned that Sunset’s latest promises will not be fulfilled. It is more probable that this wagering requirement is the latest stall tactic for unmovable accounts than it is that a new owner chose to take over a no-pay sportsbook, service its frustrated bettors, and build the tainted brand.

SBR Bill Dozer reports: Sun sets on SunsetSports(SBR rating D+), sports-gambling to take over accounts. sports-gambling(SBR rating D+) management tells SBR that players will be able to access their accounts early next week. It is unknown at this time if this will be treated as a bailout situation where players will have to fulfill wagering requirements before being able to request a withdrawal. Sunset clients report their accounts were locked for weeks before the site came off-line.

BlueMarlin bailout or throwing good money after bad? SBG family book sports-gambling(SBR Rating D) offers 100% deposit match bonus with a 10x rollover and a $5k cap. Book has very shady past, however, SBR would stop short of recommending against the plan - Players might realize a higher security factor because of the publicity surrounding the deal
