Hey Bill, Thank you so much for taking an interest in my situation. I looked at my account for something else, and when I saw that the winnings from the Woods wager was put into my account, I got the chills--the good kind. I am also impressed with how fast you were able to get through, as I felt I was talking to people over there who didn’t care. It is obvious that these kind of sites take great interest in what you have to say. Again thanks, thanks, thanks....

Dunhill heads for hills with player funds
The deposit-only operation closed its other scam sportsbook, AtlantisBets (SBR rating F-), last month. Dunhill Casino (SBR rating F-), which closed sometime this past week, stole at least $20,100 in deposits since entering the SBR rating guide at F in March. It is likely a new sportsbook website without a tainted reputation is already online and soliciting deposits with the help of fake professional handicappers. Sources in Costa Rica are searching for more information about the con artists and their online scams.

SBR Bill Dozer reports: SBR receives an influx of complaints from players whose wagers were cancelled after their sportsbook accidentally offered incorrect odds. These ’bad line’ mistakes will happen on rare occasions at even the best sportsbooks, but this is never easy to accept for the unsuspecting player when he logs into his account the next morning. Repeat offenders in the month of April include William hill (SBR rating A-) BetandWin (SBR rating B+) and BetDirect (SBR rating C+). Each complaint must be looked at individually in order to assure the sportsbook handled the cancellation fairly and according to their listed rules. These errors can be very costly for players and frequent occurrences are sure to cost a book its customers.

SBR Bill Dozer reports: Williamhill (SBR rating A-) forces player to accept altered odds after event has concluded.
"I have been directed to you by some people and I was wondering if you could please help me with my problem? It is as follows:
On Friday evening, I placed a bet with William hill on a spread handicap in NCAA Basketball. I placed a bet of £25 for Rice to win with a handicap of -1.5pts. This was at 19.26:49 (William hill server time). The transaction number is A564XXXXX. The game started at 00.05 that evening (GMT). My account number is: XXXXXX. I checked my account, and it showed that my bet was still open and valid of -1.5pts. Rice won the game by 6pts."

William hill applies a line of -15 and grades wager as a loss.
"In accordance with Rule F Acceptance of Bets: We cannot allow for mistakes or accept responsibility for any errors or omissions in respect of the announcing, publishing or marking of prices, runners or results despite our every effort to ensure total accuracy. We reserve the right to correct obvious errors. In relation to this rule your bet(s) will be settled at the correct odds. You should see your balance redressed accordingly."

The player’s wager was changed from -1.5 to -15 which resulted in a losing bet. Although the player bet a "bad line" he should not be forced to accept responsibility for the book’s mistake and accept altered odds. SBR to speak with Willhill management about this policy and to request that the wager be voided.
