betsson confiscates €600 from poker playerbetsson (SBR rating C+) has allegedly confiscated a player's €600 balance. The player admits to playing against a friend in the
betsson poker room, netting €600. The player claims that the play was legitimate, and not a "chip-dump". Poker
chip-dumping is the act of colluding with
other players, typically to circulate ill-gotten funds or to move funds between accounts. While
chip-dumping
cannot be proven 100% of the time, typically a sportsbook will have other circumstantial evidence linking
the players beyond their play; an IP address, shared
registration detail or similar.
betsson has refused to comment on the seizure to SBR, citing data protection.
betsson's rating has been lowered to C+.

betsson acquires Betsafe sportsbookSwedish bookmaker
betsson (SBR rating B-) has officially acquired Betsafe. Betsafe—a Malta-based operator—held a rating of C in the SBR
sportsbook ratings guide.
betsson reportedly spent €32.5m in acquiring all shares of Betsafe (corporate name Artic Invest SA). As part of the deal Betsafe will also receive future payments during 2011, which amount to a revenue share relative to the development and growth of the Betsafe base. |

betsson player accused of chip-dumpingA
betsson (SBR rating B-) player reports that his account has been frozen. The player tells SBR that he has been playing at
betsson for four years without any problems. His account was frozen in late December of 2010. The player states that he had no available funds in the account, but that he had several unsettled bets for a few hundred Euro's. According to statements made by
betsson, the player was accused of chip-dumping in the poker room. SBR is following up on this complaint. |

betsson closes account due to alleged money launderingbetsson (SBR rating B-) has closed a player's account which had a €250 balance and alleged that money laundering had taken place.
betsson did not inform the player how the conclusion was reached. SBR will inquire as to whether the deposit was refunded or if the entire balance was confiscated.

betsson closes players account and seizes €2600 balancebetsson (SBR rating B-) has permanently banned a player's account which held a €2600 balance.
betsson has declined to provide an explanation to the player as to what his infraction was.
betsson will not speak to SBR regarding their decision.
