The SBR live lines are very helpful for me. It saves me a great deal of time with the lines. I use many of the books that you recommend. Your website has been a big plus for me considering all the bogus information that is on the internet. -- Mike

Ladbrokes voids $1360 winnings NFL wager
Ladbrokes (SBR rating A)
voided an NFL wager worth $1360. The bet type was a double result proposition on the outcome of the Bills and Jets game on October 18th. The player wagered $170 at +1600 on the Jets winning the first half, and the Bills winning the game. The same proposition was available at bet365 (SBR rating C) at +1400. The player's bet won netting $2890. On the morning of October 19th Ladbrokes debited $1360 of winnings citing an obvious odds error. SBR has contacted Ladbrokes to discuss this dispute. bet365 wager complaint
Update 8.18.2009: After reviewing additional information about the player's claim, SBR has found that the player has not supplied any credible evidence that bet365 has altered his wager. This dispute has been closed. SBR is currently speaking with bet365 management about live betting disputes where wagers were altered by the house after it was final.

Update 8.13.2009: bet365 has responded to SBR stating that this player's wager was not changed. bet365 has provided evidence on its behalf suggesting the player has doctored the image to support his claim. bet365 has also agreed to revisit confirmed cases of altered in-game betting. SBR will report on the result of bet365 reviewing these bets and will reevaluate bet365's rating at that time.

bet365 changes winning wager to losing wager; costs player $18,000
A player wrote SBR complaining about an in-game tennis bet placed at bet365 (SBR rating C). The player states that on July 2nd he risked $18,000 at 1.14 odds on Andreas Beck in the third set. The player provided a screen shot showing the original wager. When Andreas Beck won the match, the player found his wager was changed to a bet on the losing opponent, Dominick Meffert. The players wager was then graded as an $18,000 loser, instead of a $2,052 winner. bet365 had no comment.
In the last year bet365 has altered player's wagers in live betting, changing spreads they deemed to have been offered erroneously to "correct" market odds after the event. This essentially gave players wagers they did not place and replaced winning bets with losers. bet365 does not list a policy that suggests they may alter in-game wagers. Players should avoid in-game wagering at bet365. bet365 has stated that this action is taken with professional traders who are aware of the market and the line being incorrect.

Bowmans International Ltd, parent company of Bowmans (SBR rating A) until it sold the sportsbook to bet365 (SBR rating A-) in December of last year, reemerges in the sports betting market with Hansabet. Hansabet, which has been online for just over one month, is set to give players a similar experience as Bowmans once did with the same Bowmans' service staff and Betoptions WagerPlayer software. Former head linesman of Bowmans, Scott K, has not stayed on with the company. Hansabet has been given an initial SBR rating of B. The sportsbook will remain under review as player feedback is received, Hansabet rules pages are completed, and SBR continues conversations with book management. Hansabet does not accept players from the US and Canada.

bet365 (SBR Rating A-) cancels "In-Play" winning bet. bet365 states that due to a television broadcast delay, they mistakenly offered the wager for an excessive period of time. This is the third complaint against bet365 Live Betting in as many months. SBR to contact bookmaker on player’s behalf.
Player: I contacted other bookmakers to see what time they have for 5th goal in that match, and I got replay from onother UK bookmakers that they were suspend the market at 16:09:59 . I am sure they are using same global time server as all other bookmakers. My bet is placed at 16:09:54 and when you add web delay their web site have , there is no way I placed late bet.

bet365 (SBR rating A-) live betting sticks another player with losing wager he did not place. The bettor wagered on a spread bet365 labeled as an obvious erroneous line. Instead of canceling the wager or altering the price, bet365 changed the line to what they said the spread should have been before the bet making the would-be winning bet a $500 loser. bet365 is currently addressing a similar live betting complaint and will be reevaluated based on the outcome of these uncharacteristic issues.

bet365 (SBR rating A) gives player losing wager he did not place. The bettor wagered on an erroneous line where the spread was reversed, making the -4.5 favorite a +4.5 point underdog. Instead of canceling the wager and addressing the client who attempted to gain an unfair advantage, bet365 gave the player a bet with the "corrected" line, making the would-be winning bet a loser. SBR expects upper management to address the policy flaw, void the obviously bad-line bet and refund the 1800 Euros in losses.

bet365 (SBR rating A+) takes over remaining Bowmans (SBR rating A) accounts. Last month Bowmans moved its US players to Bodog. Today the operation effectively closed, moving the remaining non-US players to bet365. Bowmans.com now redirects to bet365.com/bowmans/home/default.asp where Bowmans balance holders can log in and redeem their funds. The Bowmans brand will be phased out as bettors settle into the bet365 system.

bet365 (SBR rating A+) players complain of inadequate rule change notification. SBR has received three complaints from users who say they were unaware of recent rule changes that were the difference between winning and losing wagers. bet365 changed their wagering rules, making overtime in all basketball leagues count for over-under wagers. Most bet365 users are likely finding out about rule change when their bet on a game that went into overtime is graded.

Beginning January 1st, 2007, all sportsbooks on SBR’s Recommended List will be required to offer a ’policy updates’ log or another method of alerting players of policy changes.

Player: "European basketball has never counted overtime! How am i supposed to know?? Should I refresh the rules page along with the odds?? At least Pinnacle announces the new rule at top of main page and other book will email you. If Bet 365 would highlight all rule changes for that month it would at least be reasonable to scan over a book of rules. This is crap".
10/4/2006 11:13 AM
bet365 (SBR rating A+): In response to the Safe Port Act, bet365 has decided to stop taking wagers from US players. US based clients are asked to redeem funds upon log in.
