Stiffed Apex player hopes for payment by bet33
A former Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F) player has written in after reading SBR's report on Jupiter Sportsbook (SBR rating D-) being added to the SBR sportsbook ratings guide. The player maintained a balance of $13,100 at the time Apex closed shop and walked away with players balances. Apex eventually financed a new venture, bet33 (SBR rating D-). bet33 opened at the mark of F, however after four years without a no-pay complaint the rating was reassessed. bet33 has made promises to SBR that it would reopen Apex cases and use its new resources to pay players. Although Apex Sportsbook denied its solvency at the time it shutdown, bet33 was founded in part by player debt.

bet33 (formerly Apex Sportsbook) fails to pay stiffed players
bet33 (SBR rating D-) management has not kept its promise to repay players who held balances at Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F) at the time the sportsbook flatlined. Unpaid player balances helped create the bet33 operation, which has the same ownership as the defunct Apex Sportsbook. bet33 was upgraded from F to D- in July of 2009 after there were no nonpayment reports in more than three years.

JupiterSportsbook enters the SBR Rating Guide at D-
JupiterSportsbook (SBR rating D-)
is a sister book to bet33 (SBR rating D-). Although the bet33 brands have not failed to pay a player since their inception, they maintain low ratings due to the fact they were founded with capital derived from defunct sportsbook Apex Sports (SBR rating F) which closed doors while owing many players. Apex insisted at the time that they were insolvent.

From SBR's 11/19 report on Apex Sportsbook paying a player after five years:
Apex ownership was adamant at the time it closed its doors that they were not solvent. bet33 management assures SBR that bet33 and sister sportsbooks are well funded and it will repay players who had Apex Sportsbook balances at the time the sportsbook flat-lined. Apex victims are asked to write to Help@SportsbookReview.com so we may help in arranging payment."

Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F) Pays Player After Five years
The owner of defunct sportsbook Apex Sports (SBR rating F) has paid over $3,000 to a player owed since 2004. Five years ago the player and the sportsbook owner agreed to a payment plan. The second payment of $250 was never sent. Since Apex Sports' demise, one of the owner's of Apex Sports has opened up a new operation with its main brand being bet33 (SBR rating D-). bet33 has never failed to pay a player but has maintained a low rating and position on the SBR Blacklist due to the fact it was built using Apex Sports' player balances. Apex ownership was adamant at the time it closed its doors that they were not solvent. bet33 management assures SBR that bet33 and sister sportsbooks are well funded and it will repay players who had Apex Sportsbook balances at the time the sportsbook flat-lined. Apex victims are asked to write to Help@SportsbookReview.com so we may help in arranging payment. bet33 will remain under review through this process.

Multiple sportsbooks encounter DDos attacks today
Earlier today SBR reported that YouWager (SBR rating B) was reportedly facing a denial-of-service attack. Since that time, Legends Sportsbook (SBR rating A+), Dimeline Sportsbook (SBR rating D), and bet33 (SBR rating D-) have also encountered website attacks. Earlier in the day there were reports from SBRforum readers that BetCRIS (SBR rating A+) was down as well, but access to BetCRIS has since been restored.
Some sportsbooks like BetPhoenix (SBR rating B+) have implemented a security text code (captcha) users see when visiting their website. This diverts users from random DoS website traffic.

The denial of service attacks are caused by excessive requests to a website's server which in turn leaves little or no resources for legitimate user traffic. The sportsbook's information and databases are not "hacked" or compromised. Bettors can find a list of all LiveChat links here as well as all sportsbook phone numbers. SBR readers can report website downtime here.

Legends can be reached at 1-800-246-9828.
Today (Saturday) in the morning our Legends.com site experienced an attack which forced us to take the site down temporarily as a precaution. We expect the site to be back up in short time, while in the meantime we assure the venue is once again running seamlessly.

Bet 33 can be reached at 1-800-974-0695.
We are currently dealing with a DOS Attack, phones are up, and clients can call us for back up site information

bet33 Group upgraded from F to D-; debt remains
bet33 (SBR rating D-)
and sister sportsbooks were upgraded to D- to reflect a lesser risk than the typical F rated sportsbook. SBR has not received any bet33 nonpayment reports since late 2005 when they were added to the SBR Rating Guide. bet33 was built with stolen player funds from stiff sportsbook Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F). SBR has had annual conversations with ownership about paying the five year old debt. The conversations had not resulted in payment. bet33 players are unlikely to be paid if they win a high five figure sum after a large winning run.

SCAM ALERT: Imposter sportsbook site from Apex Sportsbook owner
BetPhoenixSports.com is designed to con players into believing they are actually playing with B+ rated BetPhoenix (BetPhoenix.com). The new cyber-squatting website uses the Phoenix brand but operates on the bet33 (SBR rating F) wagering platform. This is not the first time Robbie has tried to impersonate and capitalize on the reputation of other sportsbooks. Apex owner, Robbie (AKA Zach), is operating legendsportsbook.com which has attracted bettors looking for the real Legendz (SBR rating A+).

Defunct Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F) back online
Apex websites, ApexSportsbook.com and ApexSportsbetting.com, return online five years after closing and stiffing players. The Apex websites were utilized as handicapping and betting tips sites by Apex owner, Robbie, AKA Zach, marketed his new sportsbook ventures including his next sportsbook operation bet33 (SBR rating F). ApexSportsbook is now one of many skins running on the bet33 platform. bet33, and even some players, have argued that the sportsbook should not have an F rating because the book has been online over three years and has not had any payout complaints filed against it. bet33, its sister sites, and it's pay per head service, Realbookie.com, were built using the stolen funds from the original Apex Sports customers. Robbie has been asked multiple times in recent years to consider repaying his former customers.

Owner of Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F) scam building new sportsbook, BetPinoy
The new website, which is part of the bet33 operation that was built on the stolen funds of Apex Sportsbook players, states that it's "The most trusted sports betting site in the Philippines." BetPinoy is not in the Philippines nor is the incomplete website known by people in the Philippines. The website will likely be used to target specific players on customer lists by phone.

New sportsbook CashBox98 from owner of F rated sportsbook, bet33
CashBox98 is a new sportsbook from the owner of bet33 (SBR rating F), who previously owned and operated stiff sportsbook, Apex Sports (SBR rating F-). All players who inquire with SBR about any of the books on the growing list of bet33-related sites are told how the company was built on the stolen funds of Apex clients. Apex Sportsbook quit an SBR-monitored payment plan in June of 2004. Ownership began booking bets with credit players one month later and established this new operation late in 2005.

New post-up sportsbook coming from owner of F rated sportsbook, bet33
999LuckyDay is a newly built sportsbook website from the owner of bet33, who previously operated stiff sportsbook, Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F). bet33 ownership routinely argues that they and related books should be rated higher than F since it "has been over four years" since the last known player was stiffed. bet33, which was built on these stolen player funds, and its affiliated sportsbooks will remain blacklisted until ownership continues with payment plans initiated four years ago.

SCAM ALERT: New online casino, FruitnLoot launched by ownership of closed sportsbook scam Apex Sports (SBR rating F-). Stolen Apex player funds were used to start these new casinos and sportsbooks such as bet33 (SBR rating F).

Scam book owner of Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F-) opens new racebook website, bet33Racebook. bet33Racebook markets the racing arm of bet33 (SBR rating F). BetCasinoSport (SBR rating F) closes with player funds
The sportsbook was in no-pay mode and refusing to communicate with players in December. SBR first issued a warning about the hit-and-run sportsbook in September. BCS has been aggressively emailing bonus offers since August.

Note: bet33 (SBR rating F) owner, Robbie M., tells SBR that the IP address for BCS matches the site owned by a former programmer and was not affiliated with bet33. Robbie previously owned Apex Sportsbook and refuses to offer a payment plan for Apex victims. Robbie argues his rating should be higher because there hasn't been a no-pay in three years.

12/15/2007 11:52 PM
PremierSportsbetting listed at F in the SBR rating guide as part of the Apex Group. The former owner of Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F-), now going by the name Zach, is also the owner of such books as bet33 (SBR rating F) and Totalbets (SBR rating F). Zach repeatedly tells SBR that there have been "zero no-pays in years" but has not been willing to pay Apex victims who he stiffed before beginning his new venture.

Beware of BetCasinoSport (SBR rating D-)
The sportsbook is stepping up its email campaign with 40% cash bonus offers up to $5,000. Spreading the word of high bonuses instead of investing in advertising is usually a sign that the sportsbook does not have the funds to make an initial investment and is unlikely to have the financial backing to survive a long winning streak by players, who are already ahead with bonus cash. It is common for these sportsbooks to fail, disappear and attempt to take another shot with a new name and similar bonus offers. SBR has also learned that BetCasinoSport shares the same server IP address as the website WagerParadise.com which is operated by the owner of bet33 (SBR rating F) and stiff sportsbook, Apex Sports (SBR rating F).

4/11/2007 11:09 PM
RealVegasCasino listed at F in the SBR rating guide as part of the Apex Group. The former owner of Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F-), now going by the name Zach as the current owner of such books as bet33 (SBR rating F) and Totalbets (SBR rating F), recently contacted SBR to inquire about a new rating and settling debts to Apex players. There has been no response to balance information provided two weeks ago.

Former owner of stiff sportsbook, Apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F-) launches new website, Sportsbooks.net, to help promote new book, bet33 (SBR rating F). Sportsbooks.net copies SBR reports in an attempt to legitimize its own Rating Guide and Recommended List led by bet33. View list of bet33 sister books here.

SBR Bill Dozer reports: Scam sportsbooks sharing account details
Player reports sportsbook opens account on his behalf, complete with password.

"Hi Bill, I received this today from scam book bet33. As you can see they had already created an account for me. And I can log into using a password that I normally use. I have a feeling they got my password from either RichCoast Sports or NoJuice as I know from other forums that customers account details and passwords where sold. Just thought I’d let you know so you can warn people."
Players should always use a different password for each sportsbook account. If possible, a scam sportsbook will continue to steal even after its doors are closed. SBR has received multiple complaints of theft from players who now regret using the same password with multiple betting sites.

LasPalmasSportsbook.com is designed to con players into believing they are actually playing with five year old sportsbook, LasPalmas(SBR rating C) (betlaspalmas.com). The new cyber-squatting website comes complete with LasPalmas graphics and logos but operates on the bet33(SBR rating F) wagering platform. The site was previously used to redirect traffic to the real LasPalmas for referral earnings.
