Bet33 Sportsbook upgraded to C-
Bet33 Sportsbook (SBR rating C-) has made a number of improvements in the last six months. Bet33 has been open to discussing player disputes with SBR, shown the ability to effectively perform risk management and has revamped their business model.

Bet33 is a recreational sportsbook where professional players will quickly make the realization that they are unwelcome - the sportsbook is active in marketing and has made strides to improve their image in light of the negative press shouldered due to ownerships previous involvement with apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F). Bet33 has taken care of old apex debts that it argues were recorded after ownership departed the now defunct sportsbook. On April 26th, SBR reported that Bet33 paid an apex player with a six-year old payment claim.

Bet33 has not had a meaningful dispute submitted against them in the past six months - the most recent news was a player confirming a $3,000 payment in June of this year.

Bet33 players are not believed to be in danger of being stiffed, though SBR will continue to evaluate the sportsbook's standing and monitor any incoming sportsbook disputes.

Bet33's sportsbook rating has been upgraded to C-. Bet33 players with feedback are free to write SBR directly, or sound off in the SBR Sportsbook & Industry forum.

apex Sportsbook victims advised to write in
There may be hope afterall for apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F) victims. apex stiffed an undetermined amount of players after closing shop, then resurfaced as Bet33 (SBR rating D-) Sportsbook in 2005. Bet33 was assessed with a rating of F by SportsbookReview, but later upgraded to D- after years without a sportsbook complaint.

apex owner Robbie McPhail used players stolen funds to finance Bet33, thus Bet33 remains on the SBR sportsbook blacklist. Bet33 paid a player $3,000 in November of 2009 that reported to SBR he had been stiffed by apex five years prior. Bet33 has requested that SBR publish a note asking former apex players to write in with their account balances. Players can email help@sportsbookreview.com.

Scam sportsbook Parlaymakers still off-line
Parlaymakers (SBR rating F) is the latest sportsbook to collapse without paying their players. The scam sportsbook was downgraded to F by SBR on February 28th after going off-line. Parlaymakers did not provide notice to players that the domain would be taken down, and ceased replying to both players and SBR shortly after the loss of their biggest processor, Gold-Pay.

The niche sportsbook had an unusual business model that allowed players to place teasers and parlays at prices offered by Matchbook (SBR rating B-). On February 20th, SBR published a report advising players to request their funds after communication brokedown from the sportsbook. Parlaymakers "Max" relied on word of mouth to bring in business for the small sportsbook, initially paying players and spamming forums to promote the brand. All future ventures started by Parlaymakers Max and associates will be added to SBR's scam sportsbook blacklist.

Parlaymakers players are asked to submit their details via sportsbook complaint form to SBR. While players are unlikely to be paid in the short-term, SBR has assisted some players in receiving payment from scam sportsbooks that experienced success after rebranding, one such case occurred when Bet33 (SBR rating D-) paid a player who had been stiffed $5,000 following apex Sportsbook's (SBR rating F) collapse five years prior. | Parlaymakers scam discussion

Scam Alert: apex/Bet33 Sportsbook Group
Bet33 (SBR rating D-) was founded in 2005 by Robbie Mcphail, owner of scam operation apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F).

apex Sportsbook History
apex Sportsbook was given a rating of D in April of 2004 by SportsBookReview. apex Robbie used his experience with online marketing to rank highly in search engines, placing apex on the map as a sportsbook which offered too good to be true bonuses that were successful reeling in player deposits. This big-bonus business model set apex on a path of financial ruin, and just two short months after being recognized as a (albeit lowly) rated sportsbook, apex closed its doors and stiffed its players thousands in winnings.

Creation of Bet33 & other Brands
apex Robbie's newest venture, Bet33, was launched in 2005 and financed with the unpaid winnings of apex Sportsbook players. Robbie acquired new players through mailing lists and established Bet33 as another sportsbook that would appeal to bettors who would be categorized as bonus-hunters. | Full apex/Bet33 Sportsbook report.

The racebook is a member of the apex sportsbook family, which includes Bet33 (SBR rating D-), CanadasBookie (SBR rating D-), and others. The original apex Sportsbook maintains a rating of F due to shutting its doors in 2004 while in significant player debt, most of which has remained unpaid. Bet33, along with the new wave of apex financed sportsbooks have kept clean payment histories to this date. Bet33 has vowed that it would reopen old apex cases and repay its player debt. SBR remains in discussion with Bet33 on old player cases.

SBR discusses apex player debt with Bet33
In 2004 an apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F) player wrote SBR asking for assistance with a payment plan. In the summer of 2004 apex officially closed its doors with over six figures in player debt. apex ownership used the player winnings and founded a new sportsbook, Bet33 (SBR rating D-). Bet33 opened at a rating of F in October 2005. Bet33 did not follow in apex's footsteps, and after four years of no outstanding slowpay complaints a rating adjustment to D- was made. Bet33 has remained at D- due to the fact that the apex debt has still not been fully cleared. Bet33 claimed it would pay off the apex player debt, but thus far has only one confirmed payment to a player for $3000 from SBR's 11/19 report. SBR is currently in discussion with Bet33 on the 2004 complaint and will update this report if any progress is made. Players that have still yet to receive payment from apex Sportsbook are asked to submit sportsbook complaint forms.

Bet33 has made promises to SBR that it would reopen apex cases and use its new resources to pay players. Although apex Sportsbook denied its solvency at the time it shutdown, Bet33 was founded in part by player debt.

Bet33 (SBR rating D-) management has not kept its promise to repay players who held balances at apex Sportsbook (SBR rating F) at the time the sportsbook flatlined. Beware of BetCasinoSport (SBR rating D-)
The sportsbook is stepping up its email campaign with 40% cash bonus offers up to $5,000. Spreading the word of high bonuses instead of investing in advertising is usually a sign that the sportsbook does not have the funds to make an initial investment and is unlikely to have the financial backing to survive a long winning streak by players, who are already ahead with bonus cash. It is common for these sportsbooks to fail, disappear and attempt to take another shot with a new name and similar bonus offers.
