BetSuperior enters the SBR rating guide at D+. BetSuperior is a new sportsbook from the Costa Rica-based operation that formerly ran
BlueGrass Sports (BetBG.com). Superior is the only post-up sportsbook from the Bluegrass Group. BetSuperior is not to be confused with defunct
SuperiorBook which was bailed out by
Bookmaker (SBR rating A+) in August of 2007. SBR will monitor BetSuperior and analyze all available player feedback.

BookMaker (SBR rating A+) officially takes over
SuperiorBook (SBR rating D+) as well as accounts from sister no-pay sportsbook,
BetEmpire (SBR rating F). Bookmaker has erased the rollover requirement previously imposed by the internal Empire/Superior "
merger." Players now have full acess to wagering and their funds.
Operations Director of
SuperiorBook and BetEmpire quoted in the Bookmaker press release:
Mr. Jimmy Mason, Operations Director of SuperiorBook.com: I can not stress how pleased I am that Bookmaker.com came to the rescue of our former players. Bookmaker.com has gone above and beyond anything I have seen in this industry and continues to show why they are an A+ operation. My number one concern has been and continues to be the welfare of the players and I can now sleep well at night knowing everyone's funds are safe and they'll now have a much better overall gaming experience.

SuperiorBook (SBR rating D+) to close
SuperiorBook.com currently displays a message stating that the book is off-line due to server upgrades. The sportsbook is working on transferring account balances to
Bookmaker (SBR rating A+). Once an agreement is finalized players can expect to have access to their betting accounts, without any new wagering stipulations, in 24 to 48 hours.
SuperiorBook must transfer account information from its SportsPulse software to Bookmaker.com. Superior became the last sportsbook to use the proprietary SportsPulse platform after sister site
BetEmpire (SBR rating F) went out of business in June.

BetEmpire (SBR rating F) officially closed; stiffs players
The sportsbook's website displays a message saying that Empire has closed and that sister site,
SuperiorBook (SBR rating D+) "
is offering players an opportunity to continue playing and keep their balances while using the same user ID and password." The notice, which is signed by manager Frederick Gray who left the company last month, makes no mention of the 15 time roll-over requirement for users who wish to make a withdrawal. Empire has been online for the past two weeks despite the
"bailout" press release issued on June 8th.

BetEmpire (Empire Sportsbook) to close; won't pay players?
SuperiorBook (SBR rating D+) has issued a press release titled "
SuperiorBook.com- Acquires Betempire.com."
The release states that players will be required to bet their
Empire Sportsbook (SBR rating C-) balances 15 times through before withdrawing and calls the account transfer a "
bailout program." SBR is attempting to reach both Superior and Empire contacts to find out the status of player accounts. Up until now,
SuperiorBook has been a licensee brand serviced and controlled by BetEmpire, using its accounting, hosting and BetEmpire's proprietary software, SportsPulse. It is unknown if BetEmpire is attempting to keep player balances as the NBA season ends by shifting balances within its own products, or, if the book is unable to pay and the former white label partner will carry on. |

SuperiorBook (SBR rating D+) attempts to scare players away from current sportsbookSBR has received many complaints from readers about
SuperiorBook, a turnkey site from
BetEmpire (SBR rating C-), regarding an unprecedented amount of spam. The latest batch of email sent to customer lists claim that
VIP (SBR rating A+) has closed and players should now join the
safer
SuperiorBook. This prompted the recently privatized VIP to send an email to it’s users stating:
"It has come to our attention that emails containing false information about our company are being circulated. VIP.com is now under private ownership and the company is secure and successful as always. We will continue offering the same great products and services that you have come to expect from VIP.com – now and in the future. VIP.com will always communicate with you from a VIP.com email address, we will never ask for your username or password by email, and you can always call us at 1-800-300-BETS if you ever have any questions about our company."
This is not the first time the group has resorted to underhanded marketing tactics. Earlier this year Empire blamed third party marketing for sending emails containing fake links for well-known sportsbooks that lead to BetEmpire.com.
