Betsson acquires Betsafe sportsbookSwedish bookmaker
Betsson (SBR rating B-) has officially acquired
Betsafe.
Betsafe—a Malta-based operator—held a rating of C in the SBR
sportsbook ratings guide. Betsson reportedly spent €32.5m in acquiring all shares of
Betsafe (corporate name Artic Invest SA). As part of the deal
Betsafe will also receive future payments during 2011, which amount to a revenue share relative to the development and growth of the
Betsafe base. |

Betsafe addresses wager disputeBetsafe (SBR rating C) addresses wager dispute. On 10/19, SBR
reported that a wager on Manresa at 1.6 was voided two hours into the game and later reinstated as a loss.
Betsafe stated to SBR that when the basketball match went into overtime, it was improperly graded as a "push", which appeared to the player as a voided wager. At the conclusion of overtime,
Betsafe corrected its mistake and settled the market normally. SBR has concluded that
Betsafe acted fairly.

Betsafe voids then reinstates wagerA player complains that
Betsafe (SBR rating C) voided his wager, then reinstated it after it lost. On October 17th, the
player wagered 3600 SEK on Manresa at 1.6 odds. About two hours
into the game, the wager was voided. Five hours later his wager was
reinstated, and his account debited for the loss. SBR is discussing this
dispute with
Betsafe.

Betsafe cancels winning wager due to wrong team listed as homeBetsafe (SBR rating C) has canceled a winning wager on the over 148.5 points in womens Euroleague basketball match. The player bet €50 to win €42.50.
Betsafe's reason for the cancelation was the the wrong team was listed as being the home team. The winning bet was canceled after the games completion.
Betsafe provided the player the following rule:
"3.17 Betsafe.com reserves the right to deem bets void if there are changes in the venue/arena of whereas an event will take place."
SBR asks that bettors that had the losing side of the bet write in for assistance if their bets were settled normally. |
