A Sportsbook.com US (SBR rating D-) player reports that a Super Bowl wager was cancelled. The player wagered $200 on the Dallas Cowboys to win Super Bowl XLVII on 5:02PM ET, Thursday September 6th. The player has provided Sportsbook Review with a copy of his wagering ticket.
Sportsbook.com cancelled the player's wager on Saturday, September 8th, citing line error.
The player argues that 20/1 was in-line with the market one day prior to his bet, however, Sportsbook.com failed to update its price following the Dallas Cowboys victory in the home opener against the NY Giants.
The facts the player has provided are consistent with the classic example of "falling asleep at the wheel", where a lines manager fails to update betting odds on a market.
SBR discussed the dispute with Sportsbook.com management, who conceded their error.
