Sportsbook.com US management have addressed the PlayersOnly payout dispute reported by SBR on July 29th. In that dispute, a player detailed having a $10,000 bank payout pending since April 18th. The player grew tired of waiting for his funds before writing SBR. SBR followed up with management for an update.
SBR learned that a batch of payouts were returned to players accounts, after other efforts to facilitate the payouts were unsuccessful. Management claimed that the player would receive an expedited make-up payment in light of the original botched withdrawal.
PlayersOnly.com is part of the Sportsbook.com US (SBR rating D-) group. The family of sportsbooks are located in Costa Rica.
On September 28th, SBR reported that Sportsbook.com redirected its entire non-US player base to Global.Sportsbook.com: an operation headquartered in Malta and operated under the WinUnited Ltd. parent label. Win United Ltd. also powers YouWin Sportsbook (SBR rating C-). The move did not come without controversy, as players were initially led to believe they would lose all pending futures wagers after the migration. Players were ultimately given the option of retaining their tickets or forfeiting them: a move intended to show good faith on behalf of the new Sportsbook.com management.
Sportsbook.com maintains a low sportsbook rating in the SBR ratings guide due to having confiscated over $200,000 in player winnings in the correlated parlay scandal in 2006. Sportsbook.com software accepted wagers from players on events that it later cancelled; the book's management justified going into player's accounts and debiting winnings after the fact, claiming that those bets were not to be accepted.
