A MyBet (SBR rating D+) player says his account has been frozen. The MyBet player failed to specify the amount of funds that were frozen or what if any contact he had with the sportsbook. MyBet is a Malta-based sportsbook that markets to the average European sports bettor. Unlike most other Malta operations, MyBet provides a telephone number for customer support.
Malta sportsbooks have recently come under fire, as dodgy sportsbook owners gravitate to the country for their lax gaming restrictions. Such sportsbooks include the lowly-rated GetWin (SBR rating D-), the off-line scam sportsbooks Stryyke (SBR rating F), BetOnBet (SBR rating F), and BetAfterBet (SBR rating F).
MyBet is one of the only Malta-based sportsbooks not on SBR's scam sportsbooks blacklist. MyBet had a rating of D+ initiated by Sportsbook Review on April 7th, 2011.
MyBet accuses player of being linked to other accounts
On February 13th, 2011, SBR reported that a MyBet player's account was locked following a €400 withdrawal request. SBR was told that the player's account was linked to others and that only his deposit would be refunded.
MyBet account closure complaint
On January 28th, 2011, SBR reported on a MyBet sportsbook complaint. A player's account was closed which held €3,000. The account was locked following the player's withdrawal request. MyBet accused the player of being connected with other account-holders.
