BetUS voids sportsbook freeplay winnings

By: | Saturday, August 18, 2012

A BetUS (SBR rating D+) player submits a sportsbook complaint. The player deposited $1,000 to BetUS, received a matching $1,000 freeplay and proceeded to place straight bets and parlays on soccer. On 8/15, BetUS suspended his account and notified the player that his account was closed for non-recreational play.

BetUS player: "I went to chat and i was told my account was closed for "not recreational play". I wanted to speak with someone who is responsible so person on chat called me on my mobile phone and directed me to this supervisor manager. I asked him what kind of BS is this today? Told him i play same way for 2 years. BETUS confiscated all free play winings and paid me real money deposited + winings from real money wagers."

BetUS confiscated the player's freeplay winnings, refunding only his deposit and winnings from real money wagers. The industry standard way of closing out a player's account is to prorate a percentage of the bonus winnings, as the sportsbook no longer wishes to accept the player's action.
