Bet770 (SBR rating C-) is refusing to prorate bonuses after limiting players to as little as £1.80. SBR has reported on two instances of players having their limits drastically lowered whilst having to complete wagering requirements attached to bonuses. SBR advised Bet770 of the industry standard way of dealing with players after limiting stake sizes.
When advised by SBR on the industry standard of prorating bonuses to players who wish to cashout rather than continue wagering with paltry limits, Bet770 refused.
Bet770: "If bonus money and not their own then they need to wager it through as in terms and conditions of promotion they entered. If they don’t have the time to wager at lower limits we can remove (the bonus)."
Under Bet770.com regulations, players are forced to either place hundreds of wagers at nominal limits or accept a payout and completely forgo their bonus. One such player illustrated his frustration in the most recent Bet770 bonus dispute.
Bet770 player: "Bet770 has restricted my betting amount to
£1.80? I have £318.67 in my account of which they claim £155.00 is a
Bonus amount. They have also told me that I can cancel the bonus amount
of £155.00 the remaining £163.67 would be available for withdrawal?
Surely they cannot restrict the betting amount and hence stop me from
meeting the wagering requirements of the bonus? I was told the initial
£70 had a turnover of 5 times the bonus amount The remaining bonus
amount of £85 which was issued once I had sent them security documents
and my birthday require to be turned over 8 times. How can this site be
allowed to do this? Surely the remaining 163.67 is mine to do with as I
please and can be used to bet in order to reach the bonus requirements?"
SBR is attempting to follow up with other Bet770 executives on this policy. Bet770's sportsbook rating may be subject to a downgrade if the policy is not reworked.
