With just four games last night on the docket, the schedule-maker affords us seven choices tonight to sinking our teeth into for some NHL betting. First order of business is looking at Columbus.
The Blue Jackets saw their 16-game win streak come to an end at Washington last Thursday and followed that up with another loss in rather dramatic fashion, before settling down with a 2-1 home win over Philadelphia the next night. One might think everything is all rosy about Columbus these days, but after backup goalie Curtis McElhinney was held responsible for giving up a 4-1 lead to the New York Rangers in a stunning 5-4 setback, he was waived on Monday by the Blue Jackets. Looks like Columbus is taking this winning very seriously!
Sportsbooks have St. Louis with only -120 money line NHL odds as they prepare to host Boston, which is a little surprising. Both teams are muddling along and not really playing very well, however, the Blues are 19-7 against the Bruins, which includes 9-4 record at home.
For NHL picks, the hard choice is the Dallas at Anaheim total. The Stars are back to scoring and playing no defense with three straight OVER's, while the Ducks are playing sound defense and not scoring much and are on 3-0 UNDER run. Four of the last five meetings have gone OVER.
