Denver Broncos CJ Anderson running the football

We split a pair of NFL player props and barely missed cashing both our plays to start Week 5 and I am back with two more of my best bets in the NFL player props realm! You can find these NFL Odds at Bovada sportsbook!

Season Player Props Record: 17-14-2

CJ Anderson O/U 72 ½ Rushing Yards

CJ Anderson has been underwhelming so far to start the season, but he has also played some pretty tough run defenses. The main things to keep in mind for his yards total this week is his opponent has one of the worst run defenses in the league and the Broncos should still be handing him the ball a lot.

Anderson has 73 carries through the first four weeks and the Broncos' game plan on both sides of the ball is going to be to give Anderson the rock. Anderson is the Broncos' best ally when it comes to keeping their own defense fresh and keep Matt Ryan and his arm off the field.

I expect Gary Kubiak and the Broncos' offense to completely take the air out of the football in this one. Even though their defense is good, with the way the Falcons have been playing, it's likely the Broncos play this one conservative at home.

I expect Anderson to see upwards of 20 carries once again in this one, so even though he has been poor to start the year, he only needs 3.7 yards per carry on 20 carries to cash the over here, which is a great play in my eyes.

NFL Pick: OVER 72.5 (-115) at Bovada

Kirk Cousins O/U 239.5 Passing Yards

Last week the Redskins committed to the run and Kirk Cousins only had to throw the ball 27 times. Now he is heading into Baltimore, who has a much better run defense but has not been great against the pass, even against some poor passing offenses.

Matt Jones is still going to be heavily involved, but if the Ravens are stopping the run, we are going to see a return of Weeks 1-3 Cousins where he is chucking the ball enough to go for nearly 300 yards.

I walked about it some in one of my total plays on this game, but neither one of these teams have a great secondary. Plus, it's kind of a home game for both teams as the Redskins play about 30 miles south of Baltimore. Washington's fans are going to be traveling for this one and while it won't be a home game for Washington, it's about as close to one as they can get playing outside of FedEx Field.

My point is, the Skins aren't going to have as much success against this team running the ball and if they get down early, which is possible with their own poor defense, Cousins might be putting it in the air 40-plus times Sunday.

NFL Pick: OVER 239.5 (-125) at Bovada
