Life is about taking advantage of opportunities and right now if you are betting NFL football, you might want look over this teaser article since I am 4-0 this season in 6-point NFL four-team teasers.
Betting teasers is not about just trying to get an edge on a particular team, it is finding the right key numbers where many game outcomes land and being in the correct position against the NFL betting odds. For example, we want to pass thru keys numbers of 7, 6 and 3 and place you in more advantageous position.
Because of the popularity among those making NFL week 5 picks, all A-rated sportsbooks (check out SportsbookReview.com for latest books ratings) like Intertops offer excellent payouts on teasers. There are many ways to bet these and I prefer to keep it to no more than four choices and as low as two.
Let's get things started with this week's four picks.
Pittsburgh -1 Teaser Odds
The Steelers were ultra-impressive in blasting Kansas City after siesta they took at Philadelphia. With the Jets Ryan Fitzpatrick making more turnovers than Pillsbury and the New York secondary suffering from whiplash with opposing receivers running by when continually, with these teaser odds, all we basically need is a Pittsburgh win and crawling under numbers 6 and 3. For good measure, the Steelers are 28-2 against a teaser line at home after gaining 6.5 or more yards per play.
Detroit +9 Teaser Odds
This might not resonate with many with the current state of both NFC squads, but here is why this should work. First, we have the value of Detroit passing through numbers of +3, +6 and +7. While we are all impressed with Philadelphia, are we convinced they can keep it up? The sportsbooks sent the Eagles out at -2, thus, they are hardly considered a dominant against team on three-game losing streak. Lastly, favorites outscoring opponents by 10 or more points a game, after allowing 14 points or less in two straight contests, are 0-8 ATS the past three years.
Denver Pick Teaser Odds
Everyone is talking up Atlanta, but last I checked Denver is 4-0 SU & ATS and wearing gaudy rings. In some ways the Broncos are even better, committing fewer turnovers than last season, the secondary is improved and playing with the confidence of a Super Bowl champion. Being able to take Denver all the way down to a Pick cuts our exposure on a team that is 17-0-1 on the teaser line in the first half of the season the past three years.
Buffalo +8.5 Teaser Odds
This is really inviting, almost too inviting. Los Angeles is last in total offense and 30th in scoring at 15.8 PPG. If Rex Ryan's Buffalo defense figured out how to shutout New England on the road, chances are they are not going to allow too many points to the Rams. L.A. is also off an upset of Arizona and teams off a win over a division rival as an underdog of six or more points, are 3-19 ATS the last few seasons. Being able to grab the Bills passing thru a 3, 6 and 7 appears to be a great value.
