A lot of people don't know about the South Carolina Bulldogs because they're simply an atrocious basketball squad. Tonight, the Bulldogs will be squaring off against the Texas A&M Aggies. How many points will the Aggies cover by in their attempt to impress the pollsters as they're laying 30.5 points in this matchup?

Playing As Expected

Although the Aggies haven't had a 30 point win to their credit, they've beaten the teams that they're supposed to beat and have been very competitive in their 2 losses of the season to UCLA and USC. Even though the Aggies went down in defeat 74-67 to UCLA, it's a good barometer of how good that they really are as they don't possess any real quality victories as their schedule has been somewhat easy.

Where the Bulldogs are concerned, they haven't provided their fans or bettors much to cheer about. They're coming off of an 82-46 beating at the hands of the University of Miami (FL). This is a game in which Bruce Brown pulled a Russell Westbrook and put up a triple-double on South Carolina State. The odds are high, but the Aggies have really caught South Carolina at a very low point in their season.

Multiple Options

Texas A&M doesn't feature one or two prolific scorers, but this is a team with great depth with nearly 5 players that average double-figure points, led by Tyler Davis (13.6 points, 7.5 rebounds) and the Aggies top 5 players also average over 4 rebounds per game.

There won't be many 2nd chance opportunities for the Bulldogs on Saturday night with players such as Tyler Davis and D.J. Hogg controlling the boards. Hogg has been in a massive slump recently. In his last 3 games, he's averaged 6.6 points on 8 of 34 shooting from the field. This is where team depth helps and I look for Hogg to have a bounce back effort as the level of competition couldn't get any weaker.

As stated earlier, the Bulldogs will have a problem on the boards as they're averaging just 30 rebounds per game to go along with 38.5% shooting from the field. Both offense and defense are an issue and the odds are placed correctly.
