Sunday offers a pair of plays that look appetizing from the evening slate and I am here to make it rain with some winning NBA Expert Picks!

Timberwolves vs Pelicans

The Wolves are migrating to New Orleans for a showdown early Sunday evening with the Pelicans and it should be a nice game if you like big man basketball. I'm assuming DeMarcus Cousins will play in this one after sitting out two nights ago, but with the Pelicans starting to quicken the pace lately, I could see the total as a fine value Sunday night.

According to NBA Stats, since the 11th of March, which would encompass four games for the Pelicans, they have played at a pace of 100.7 possessions per 48 minutes, which is just a bit faster than what they have played at all season.

Sure, they have played some faster-paced teams in there too, but Miami is about as slow as they come and they still scored 112 points and lost 120-112. Tonight I see a more fast-paced play from the Pelicans at home, who have cashed the over in three of their last four overall.

Cavaliers vs Lakers

The Cavaliers ended up resting their big three last night in the midst of their third stretch of having three games in four nights. The Cavs and seemingly the other good teams have been sending a message to the league resting their players on national TV games, but with their third stretch of three games in four nights in less than a month, I'd protest too if I were the defending champs.

All league politics aside; tonight against the Lakers the NBA Odds favor the Cavs at -11 ½, with a total of 222 ½. Assuming the Cavs don't rest their players again, I expect a full throttle approach to this game, especially considering they have another two days off after tonight.

However, the first half spread is what I'm attacking tonight at -6 ½. The Cavs should try to put this one away as early as possible and with the Lakers tanking and actually trying to lose, that shouldn't be a problem.

The Lakers played the Cavs close the first time they played, but Timofey Mozgov and Luol Deng played and played well in that game and Swaggy P hit eight threes in route to the loss. None of those guys will play a factor at all or in Nick Young's case not as much.

I see Cleveland coming out and showing out in the first half to give them a comfortable lead at the half, so add them to your NBA Picks tonight.
