The start of the Conference Finals have suddenly taken a down turn after a hot start, but we are still riding high from the conference semis, I am back with two big NBA picks for tonight.
Bismack Biyombo O/U 19.5 points and rebounds
The Raptors have only one chance at getting their dignity and some sort of momentum back. They need to come out firing on the road in hopes to keep the momentum from completely leaving them. They may be banged up beyond belief, but they do have a weapon they need a big game from, and that s Bismack Biyombo. The Raptors back up big man has been a joke up until this season.
The Kings drafted him seventh overall and then swiftly traded him in a three team deal that saw the Bucks fleece both the Hornets and Kings. However, he was also drafted ahead of Brandon Knight, Kemba Walker, Klay Thompson and Kawhi Leonard, so he has been stigmatized pretty much his entire career for not living up the hype.
This season and the playoffs have started to slowly change that. Biyombo has three double-doubles in the postseason and six games with double digit rebounds. He hit all five shots in Game 1 against the Cavs, and if he can have a big game in Game 2, the Raptors may actually stay within 20 points of Cleveland. With a Defensive Rebounding Rate of over 32 percent, and per-36 averages of 10 points and 13 rebounds in the playoffs, I expect Biyombo and the rest of the Raptors to man up and keep this game a lot closer on Thursday.
NBA Pick: OVER 19.5 (-115)

Tristan Thompson O/U 16.5 points, rebounds and assists
Speaking of big men who need big games tonight, Tristan Thompson has been in and out of the playoffs like a player who shows up for a game and then disappears for another two. Thompson was on his way to a big game before the Cavs ran away with Game 1, and the Cavs only needed him for 28 minutes. However, Thompson hasn't played too many minutes in the last four games.
However, if Biyombo is having a big game, Thompson is going to need to be in the game trying to keep him off the glass. Thompson has an outstanding Offensive Rebounding rate this postseason, and as long as he gets the minutes, he is going to cash the over with this NBA Pick. The assists are just a throw in for this one, but considering bet365 is throwing in assists for one less in the total of 16.5, the over has to be the play for this one against the NBA Odds.
Thompson has per-36 averages of 6.4 points and 10.2 rebounds per game, and while his points per game have not been there in the playoffs, as long as the Cavs are running him in the pick and roll, look for him to cash the over on Thursday night.
NBA Pick: OVER 16.5 points, rebounds and assists (-110)
